Anyone that thinks lcd and plasma are better than projectors CLEARLY haven't seen a decent projector before! and dont say i have been to the cinema because they have to stretch to very large sizes. the best projector i have seen is a £2000 panasonic projector and that was amazing beats any lcd or plasma by miles and that still isnt the best projector.

@hugecookiemonster i agree, i have a 52 inch 120 hz lcd tv and it looks great. i did get used to the 120hz so i got a EPSON 8700UB with 120hz fine frame interpolation and it looks awesome and i didnt have to go spend alot of money and i got a free extra 4,000 hr bulb. projectors are awesome. movie theater projectors suck vs home theather projectors.

Well Ive got my first LCD video projector a few days ago. Only downside is running cost due to bulbs. But its no different than cinema except cinema uses far powerful types and even larger screens plus lots more. But at least the sound is transparent with the large image! Speakers should be placed behind the screen! That is something you cant do with flat screens!

Cheers, True, a 100inch LCD or Plasma isnt cheap, but you can get very good results from a decent projector.

uh projectors are way better than flat screens and paying upto like 5 or more grand for a 50" lcd? i paid £800 for my pj and i can get upto 300" 1080p pic XDXD

Videos of projectors always look bad for some reason, like filming a CRT with a shitty camera, you see loads of black lines everywhere on it.

from my point of view yes its well worth it. since i installed it i have had many hours of enjoyment from it. plus its alot cheaper than buying a large plasma or lcd tv. Well worth it if you have the many to buy the right equipment.
