  • i need this for my droid 3...thats hardcore. Is it connected to usb?

  • thats briliant

  • will it work on my xperia mini pro?

and how do i mkae it

  • LOVE these little things. Even after being out for sometime and not really available anymore, they still look great by todays technical design standards. Thank you for sharing yours with us =) It runs Unreal Tournament pretty darn well!

  • If you allow me @danmiddle2 is a great GENIUS GAMEPAD MODIFICATION !!!, but share the brand of this gamepad with your viewers.

is a GAMEPAD MAXFIRE PANDORA PRO brand GENIUS

I hope this help you guys

  • I usually go off head to head with a buddy of mine with UT99-GOTY all the time... Seeing this has made me want a UX series more than ever.

...Either that, or a Vaio P with an external mouse... or a Vostro V13. GO UT99!

  • What's the name of the game

  • Wish I could play this on my PSP...very nice! Waa waa weeeh waah!

  • they dont sell the controller anymore :((((((

  • What machine is this?

  • @KnightFader It's a Sony UX, specifically a UX1XN

  • could you make a video of how to make one of these controllers?

  • this controller sells for 15 bux on amazonDOTkom . hit me up if you need a link

  • @ExtraTerrestrials i need link for the controller for sony vaio

  • @McDarMan just google Genius MaxFire Pandora Pro, mini USB PC gamepad, retractable cable.

  • @ExtraTerrestrials how do i do what he did and would you say its hard to use

  • @McDarMan - basically you just cut the gamepad in half, glue the two halves back to back and glue that to the CF blanking slot. It's easy to play with, when you get used to it!

  • Come back when it can run crysis at 60 fps

  • what is that console or computer

  • wat kinda computer is that

  • Interesting device

  • $2000+ Gaming machine... :P

And I thought I had it good when I got my N900...

By the way, how does one go about upgrading the hardware ont his (if needed?)

  • Sweet :D I don't own a micropc...but thats quite cool man. You might wanna check out the aimbot mutators available for UT, Makes playing it a lot easier if you're not using a mouse and keyboard. Its much better then the default UT Auto Aim in the sense that it tracks a lil more... feels similar to Halo on the X-box...controller wise... sadly, online play is a no-no since its technically a hack...unless you run your own server.

  • can we buy this controler off you :)

  • @toj88 I am afraid not. I get a lot of use from it. If you can find one of the controllers for sale, it's really easy to make for yourself though.

  • @danmiddle2 if it's easy to make then why can't you sell your and make another 1 later....

  • @toj88 is a GAMEPAD MAXFIRE PANDORA PRO brand GENIUS

I hope this help you guys

  • daaamn !!! how did you custom ur controler !!!!

  • The intel 950GMA graphics keep most newer games from working, but nVidia's new ION2 graphics should fix that.

We've been discussing it down at the MicroPC talk, the biggest Sony UX forum

  • they are powerful, but cod4mw doesn't run on it primarily due to it not supporting the intel graphics chipset very well. Since this video I have upgraded my ux with a core2duo cpu and it still won't run cod4. There is a thread about working games over at micropctalk. There are loads of games that run. i think the "best" game I've got running is ut2004.

  • hello i have the ux390 with vista. the problem is that after watching a video in full screen the mouse buttons and click button dont work. In order to fix that i have to press CTRL ALT DELETE

  • what Sony devise is that ur playing on and how did u get UT99 on it?

  • Specifically it's a Sony UX1XN, but there are many other UX models. It's basically just a small laptop or UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) so installing UT99 is the same as any other PC, but you need a USB DVD drive.

  • where did you get the controller i cant find one

  • I found it using a google shopping search. Also, this was done a while ago... have you checked with genius to see if there is now an alternative product?

  • How much did that cost you???

  • The controller - about 15 gbp. The UX - about 500 gbp from ebay.

  • That's freaking awesome. Were you able to play online against other players?

  • I can, and I don't do badly, albeit not as well as I do with a keyboard & mouse. It's very usable.

  • Cool

  • hey man , does it work without a battery , but the ac plugged in like most laptops ?

  • Yes, it does.

  • u t is the best shooter ever hands down well cod4's prettty good

  • I agree. COD4 in your pocket would be awesome!

  • thats fuckin awsome

  • this pc looks more like a slider phone than a pc but that is not much of a bad thing since it's useful for messenger on the go without people knowing you are using a phone to im with them.

  • cool device but id rather get a better desktop first. wish i could play a UT on my psp

  • umm it would be more interesting if u put some more sound and if u actually showed the screen

  • It was really intended as a video to show the controller to other UX owners, not to showcase UT. I am sure there are plenty of other videos about where you can watch and listen to Unreal. As for the screen, I am really only missing 5% off the far right due to poor camera work!? It only has a small screen.

  • does he sell em?

  • no, but there are instructions on how to make one over on the micropctalk forum. It'd be really easy to make one yourself.

  • SHOW MORE OF THE RIGHT SIDE

  • Please? There is another video which shows the other side a little more.

  • where can i get one?

  • a sony ux? ebays a good place to start. If you mean a controller... then you have to start with a genius maxfire pandora pro gamepad and make one.

  • I have the Sony Vaio VGN-UX390, the top model from the serie, i have it a little bit tune and than go GTA and Need for Speed, its a very goood PC!

  • 490 n/c top model i have one ; )

  • pattent that controler =) and what phone s that! I SOOOO Want one!

  • Its not a phone its a mini pc

  • Christ! I want one of these so bad!

  • Can it run san andreas????

  • Never tried it myself, but according to the 'games that work' thread over on the micropctalk forum it runs, but not spectacularly well. Not entirely sure what that means as I don't have a copy of the game to try.

  • wTF!? is daT?

  • the laptop model is a Sony UX1XN

  • portable OG unreal tournament..

oh the money id pay for that right there..

  • well you can pick up a UX for a few hundred pounds on fleabay and the controller was about a tenner!

  • where did you buy the controller?

  • I can't remember where exactly. I just did a Google shopping search for it. It's called a "Genius MaxFire Pandora Pro Foldable Mini USB Gamepad". Catchy name!

  • damn man! first time i heard of these! damn these aren't popular at all?? do they work LAN?

damn expensive too...3000euros where i live

  • yep, they have 802.11G or cabled ethernet if you use a dongle or the docking station, and yes they carry a fairly hefty price tag, even second hand.

  • that plays unreal tournament faster than my desktop.

    and really cool controller!

  • can u use that controller on the ux280p?

  • yes... you could use it on any PC. It's mounted via the CF slot, though... does your 280p have a CF?

  • What UMPC is that? It's tiny.

  • It's a Sony UX1XN

  • now play online =)

  • I do play online; fairly regularly... and whilst I don't do as well as with a keyboard and mouse... I don't do as badly as this vid would suggest! I have a better hang of it now AND I don't normally have to co-ordinate filming it!

  • Unless you meant in terms of connectivity - in which case the device has 802.11G wireless and, if you use the dock or the dongle; wired ethernet too.

  • woah where u get that from? i love that game, and its editor.

  • badass

  • how much that cost?

  • the controller or the UX? the controller was really cheap (less than £10 if I recall right). the UX is a more expensive device. I was lucky; I got mine from ebay for £350.

  • that attachment is awesome. Could you give instructions of how to make one? If not, would you be willing to build one and sell it to me?

    Thanks!

  • they're really simple to make; you'll find instructions over at the micropctalk forum. I can't post links here but I have the same username over there which may aid in your search.

  • I'll check it out, thanks for the reply!

  • best game ever made

  • of course it pwns PSP BUT LOOK PSP COST 150 BUX THIS... 1500 bux...

  • this is a daily psp asskicker...

  • thats awesome

  • this is actually possible, i think.

  • Are you some kind of authority on whats possible? I really appreciate you taking the time to comment on my vids and tell me what is and is not possible as I spend my time craving your approval.... IDIOT. In future; if you don't have anything valuable to add, please keep your comments to yourself.

  • wow man.

tell me plese how to name this controller (joypad) which his model ?

  • It was originally a "Genius MaxFire Pandora Pro Foldable Mini USB Gamepad for PC". Details of what I have done can be found on the micropctalk forums.

  • Very nice work. What are the specs on your ux? what operating system are you running? windows or linux? :)

  • Thanks - its got a 1.3ghz Intel Core Solo processor,1gb RAM, 256mb graphics and 32GB SSD. I run both Vista and Ubuntu on it. This video shows UT running on Vista. I have another vid of it running gutsy w/ compiz etc.

  • wow ur ux is better then my 3000$ pc

  • they are pretty impressive. I initially got mine as a mobile supplement to my laptop... but I can't remember the last time I powered on my full sized laptop!

  • Oh and the controller works with both Windows AND Linux :-)

  • its only unreal tournament 1 anyway. its crap

  • i have another video of it running ut2k4 effortlessly too... but i quite enjoy the original, but i guess its a matter of personal taste.

  • nice. i was thinking of getting the ux. and using my bluetooth headphones. how long does the battery last with music & video playing and stuff?

  • I only have the standard battery and I tend not to listen to music on it, but I can watch a 2-3 hour divx film on it and still get half an hour either way (i.e. 3-3.5hrs). With games like this, I get about 2 hours.

  • looks like a ipod shuffle XD

  • Nice wot controller is that

  • It started life as a "Genius MaxFire Pandora Pro Foldable Mini USB Gamepad for PC". Details of what I have done can be found on the micropctalk forums, if you're interested.
