  • O'Russell is such a f'cking douche.

  • David O. looks like an asshole on wheels.

  • How insincere was Russel there in the end? He makes good films but what a douche!

  • I can see it clearly now. The director is a prick bully.

And Lily is the only one that has the guts to stand up to him.

  • @TheGoalSetter

I'm glad to read some people have the good sense to see the yelling controversy in context. She was bullied to bitter tears, and by the time they got to the take in the car, she reached the breaking point.

I ♥ Lily Tomlin. She was by far the best thing about this fiasco.

  • I love the irony of Jude Law talking about how fun was the mood in the set and how that brought collaboration and camaradery while we see the footage of Lily Tomlin freaking out, hahaha! fucking liar!

  • Can you tell me where you found this video? Found the making of?

  • @Rabidcolombian There is an hour long "making of" in the DVD extras and this a montage I did in comibination with the set footage leaked.

  • Great movie - interesting storyline, fantastic acting. Jason Schwartzman, Mark Wahlberg, Lily Tomlin, Dustin Hoffman, Jude Law and Naomi Watts did an excellent job.

I also loved Shania Twain's cameo appearance

  • thx for upload

  • why is there just a random dude behind mark

  • "It's such a magical journey" (Cue Lily Tomlin mouthing FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKER into the camera).

  • Aww that crew member is really cute 1:27

  • Dustin Hoffman is the coolest cucumber.

  • The director needs to get blown by a thousand Thai hookers at $10 each and return to Hollywood with some sense of balance. His last comment in that docu video was a lie, and everyone on the set knew it, just look at their faces.

  • David O Russell might be a bastard but at least he's directed several feature films. How many have you made?

  • it's obvious he's a tyrant, esp towards women. Ask his P.A.

    twat

And, who ever said 'ALL' the men on the movie set referred only to the two main actors? There are loads of othermen in the set as well.

  • the men have decent comments to make on the director... however it's obvious that he takes his frustration out on women becuase all those prick men don't step in to defend Lily

  • You describe Jude Law and Dustin Hoffman as "those prick men". Why? Because they, in interviews with for this piece, did not express dislike for their director? The term "prick men" suggests an animosity towards men developed outside this vid. Furthermore, you state it is obvious he takes out his frustration on women. Women ? (There is only 1) So two men presumably like the director , one woman doesn't, and all the sudden he's a misogynist? Perhaps he didn't like Lily. Gender is irrelevant.

  • Well with her behavior I don't know if I would either.

  • The director is in charge, nobody else. DO you expect others to step up and take the position, thereby losing their jobs?

  • you, too, just solidified the fact that you're also a mysoginstic asshole. I guess, in your case, money is more important than principles. Yea! go team!

  • spoken like a true misandrist

  • Dustin Hoffman: "Say yes to the Director... If the MF wrote the thing? Say yes yes yes. If the MF didn't write the thing? CHALLENGE CHALLENGE CHALLENGE."

That's actually good advice. Of course it's good advice. It came outta Dustin MF'in Hoffman.

  • Dustin MF'in Hoffman lol.

  • dave o asshole

  • Oh, and P.S., I went to the premiere of this movie at Mohegan Sun and saw him speak, and he sat right in front of me at the movie....LOL. Glad I didn't know he was a psycho then! (Esp. since my friend and I exited the movie early to peruse the open bar...) : )

  • Just goes to show you how even huge stars will suck up to some dickhead director who is clearly a mental case. I hope David O. Russell gets his. Sad how people won't stick up for themselves, just to maintain their fame. I heard George Clooney really called him out, as obviously did Lily Tomlin. Good for them!!

  • and how fans will suck up to actors who are ass holes too.

  • he seems like a really selfish asswipe

  • Looks like an artificially sweetened version of what really happened.

  • David O. Russel put Christopher Nolan in a headlock because Jude Law said he wanted to be in The Preteige instead of this

  • Really? That's pretty funny.

  • this is better than the movie.

  • I think some of those people need to learn to see the blanket method in the everyday stuff.

  • HAAAHAAAAAA!!! Nice one.

  • I was hoping someone would get that

  • Why was Jude Law attacking that guy?

  • This scene is taken out of context. Jude is just fooling around with no bad intent.

  • great montage

  • Rewriting or improv worked really well in "Flirting With Disaster"-- and Tomlin was great in it. For some reason, DOR is acting like a man on steroids.

  • not enough Naomi.

  • this is so obvious an attempt of the director to try and cover up the incriminating videos of him freaking/flipping out on the set. for example: watch Director David O. Russell flipping out on I Heart Huckabee's

too late mr. russell, the word's out. actully, it's been out since g. clooney spoke out on what is was like working with you.

  • Well put. The clip couldn't be more obvious as a suck-up, which is ironic because David O. Russell seems to want to paint himself as a renegade. Nonsense: he is a studio puppy, and far from "independent." More importantly, I Love Huckabees (I refuse to spell out symbols much like I don't care what Prince used to be called) was a trainwreck of a movie that conned many tweedy intelligensia into glowing praise because it seemed intelligent.

  • true.

  • Well said. I watched it last night, and the "existential detectives" aren't even existential. If anything, the Lily Tomlin/Dustin Hoffman characters are Buddhists and the French character is an existentialist/nihilist.

Film critics are usually pretty dumb, and when they suspect a filmmaker is smarter than they are (e.g., Todd Solondz), they get intimidated and give good reviews.

It was a pseudo-intellectual movie, but well-acted and pretty funny in spots. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

  • I wish I had read your review before renting it.

  • Is David Russell 'vertically challenged' by any chance because he certainly displays some of the characteristics of 'short man syndrome' what a rude prick!

  • No wonder Jude Law is such a love machine...he's very er...versatile!

  • Too bad Russell had to re-write the script as he went along instead of having a script he could trust and beieve in. Not a great film. The outtakes are better than the finished product. Jude Law with females breasts???? Oh, yeah - Now, THAT's a brilliant idea....

  • you are entitled to your opinion, even though it's retarded. jude law with breasts IS a brilliant idea. if you got the point of the film, you would probably understand that changing things during the process does not mean that his script was weak, it just means he's a different kind of artist, who gets it done in a particular way. the script was a good backbone for what the film would flesh out to be.

  • Try making a movie without a concrete vision to share with the cast and crew. This guy was lucky to have a crew to help finish his movie.

  • Comment removed

  • even though she did react a bit hrash, i agree with you 100%

  • @awantabee luckily enough nobody wants to work with you for that to happen!
