  • Fantastic. You can always tell the difference between a choir that uses their music in hand and those who memorize. You can add SO much more nuance, follow the director and give more attention to blending with your fellow singers. You can't do that if you're looking up and down at your music. It's rare to see these days, even with "Masters" Chorales. These guys are to be commended and it shows in their performance.

  • what song is this?

  • ...i love how they changed key at around 6:52...

  • truly deserving of the "Choir of the World" Title

  • 0_0 wow.

  • Safe to say that the human voice is by far the best!! The chord at 0:41 ..... wow!!

  • Harmonies in 5:51-^:03 are absolutely amazing! I can't stop jumping up and down from how perfect they sound! Like oh my god, my ears have never heard of such magicness :3

  • My heritage is Welsh and these guys are typically great singers just like my Evans kin!! Our grandfather moved to New Castle Pa from Swansea.

  • I really wish there was a man's choir at my school >_<!

  • nice!!!gives me chills...

  • I love the dynamics they use..their voices are just beautiful:)

  • They should do a more epic music not that churchish shit

  • @shohchkheh Um, until you're performing 6-8 part pieces, don't complain :P

  • Silver medal?? Who the heck won first?? If Westminster Chorus had let loose with the screaming tags and choreography like they do in Barbershop international competitions they would have killed first place!

I love the fact that even though are a master barbershop chorus, that they have the skills and desire to branch out to compete in different competitions and do different genre songs that are not strictly barbershop.

They will always be gold medalists in my book! Awesome job, guys!

  • 5:42 - 6:04 = jsdbgkfjgfoegovfmkb. And Lux was absolutely gorgeous.

  • @clauclau33 The song could have stopped right there for me and I would have been just as pleased... but I am glad they continued :)

  • I love when non-black choirs sing spirituals naturally and not with extraneous additions that can be offensive. bravo! You all should come to the Intercollegiate Men Chorus Festival.

  • The Whitacre piece - pure bliss. Never heard anything so gorgeous. I've watched this one many times and still get chills. Perfection.

  • @youngetal thumbs up 1000 times!!

  • God those overtones and UNDERTONES (much rarer) in the last piece were simply divine. I can't believe your conductor left :( I want to work with him once in my life.

  • i love how they move with the music

  • WOW! OMG! super great. the bass part is excellent. you deserve the championship

  • Whoa!! My favorite choral piece, sung by my favorite choral arrangement (men's choir)! LIKE!!!

  • I naturally prefer male choirs over female choirs. Even -most- solo or duet female singers always seem like they're trying to desperately impress the frickin' world with their voices, or trying to outdo each other, when in reality they shouldn't have to with pipes like that. Men's choirs always seem like everyone is working together to give the audience a pleasurable performance.

  • I really wish just once they would have a ATB choir or just let me sing in a mens choir. I've often had to sing T or B because they didn't have enough guys and I do great because I have an extremely low voice for a girl. I just really get annoyed with choirs who treat it as everyone else is the back up for the sopranos. Don't get me, I like soprano voices it's just that being singing higher is not better if you can't maintain the tone quality. I dunno... I just prefer it "smooth like butter"

  • The dislike comes from a women!

  • Jünglingswonne(the 2nd song they sang) was the best. amazing

  • Fascinating! Absolutely Fantastic!

  • great..great....greattt...bravoooooo

  • great...great...greattttt... bravo

  • holy shit-fuck, thats eargasmic

  • Ughhh!!! Just amazing!!!!

  • wow they are amazing!!

  • Jizz.

  • So much pure talent! This is amazing!

  • that tenor part is redick.

they hold it forever and a half.

  • my jaw dropped.

I want to sing in men's choirs all my life.

  • they pulled out too on all of the chords too early in lux aurumque

  • oh em geeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thay are efffing awesome!!!!WELL done guys!!makes me proud b b a man,lol.no hard feelings ladies =)

  • that is the most moving performance of LUX i've ever heard.... and yeah, the bass is awesome.

  • This is so pretty. I love mens choirs. Their voices are amazing.

  • Tenors rule

  • Yeah Bass Is Best Part In This Song :)

  • AWWWME!!!!! Makes me so proud of my Welsh heritage--Grampa David Evans from Swansea, settled in Mahoningtown, PA at the end of the 19th century to work in the New Castle Tin Mill. He and Gramma Mary Maloney Evans had 8 kids--Walter, David, Kenny, Ann, Lil, Norma (my mom), Mary, and Chuck. The grandchildren now live all over the country (and you know who you are!!! Love you all. Long live the Welsh voice!! What a great choir!!!

  • @rrmjvand this chorus is from California, USA

  • yay overtones :D

  • Lux Aurumque.

Oh Latin, how you are just truly moving.

And, I remember singing this for a fall concert in high school. It's just an absolutely beautiful song. A full choir sounds good, but a men's choir sounds much better, in my opinion.

  • Whoa! i started clapping when i saw this video! Amazing! Just completely breathtaking!

  • They sound amazing, but those are some distracting movements and facial expressions. Every choir is different, though, and clearly it works for them, so. :)

  • just...wow

  • I remember singing this in my high school men's choir along with Sleep(mixed choir). Everyone used to get chills singing it. Hialeah Miami Lakes Sr. High.

  • nice singing !

what's the name of the song ?

  • @TouchTheWind its LUX AURUMQUE

  • The beginning of Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel gave me goosebumps, no joke.

  • @dungeonmunky i completely agree with you! = D

  • wow!

  • i love men's choirs.

do you feel this deep emotion! the might in their voices!

  • @MrRawshak

    Totally agree

Personally I love the harmony made by male choirs more

but I do have my favorite female choir

  • wonderful !!!!!! SUPERCALAFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS !!!!!!

  • i honestly like men's choirs better because the sopranos arent overpowering everybody else

  • @katykat121 Couldn't agree with you more.

  • @katykat121 Amen to that. In a choir of 450 people (all-state) There are only 15 soprano 1s and 20 soprano 2s. Bass 2s and altos fill in the extra because, well, they are the quieter voice parts especially in the teenage years. And countertenors when they really do have songglass falsettos are definitely superior. Beyond the second F above middle C, mine gets a little harsh, but I'm smoothening it out. I'm a bari tenor, and I get tossed everywhere in my choirs. Almost have that Bass E 2 woot!

  • @katykat121 I couldn't agree more.

  • @katykat121 I absolutely agree with you- It wounds so much more powerful

  • @katykat121 Agree!

  • @katykat121 -Totally agreed,I love all my Soprano friends but I feel like soo many times in a SSA,SATB and what not it's "Soprano's vs. Every other Voice Part"

I've heard this sung in an SATB version[Lux Aurumque] but the Soprano was most dominant[they sounded gorgeous don't get me wrong] but a blend would be soo nice.

-They Sound Great!!!! <3 men's Choirs! -Britt.

  • HOLY .... 8:43 on is a AMAZING crescendo WOW

  • Who's "Didn't my Lord..." arrangement from??? You guys sound very nice... congrats!!

  • Oh jeez. The bass voices turn me into a pool of jelly! :)

  • i agree!

  • @hoolihoopgrl131 Haha they make my heart start quivering! Amazing!!!!

  • @hoolihoopgrl131 Basses rulee :)

  • @hoolihoopgrl131

They ALL turn me into a pool of jelly!

  • Singing opens your heart.

And all these guys reprsent that indeed.

Awesome, how you show you great it is, to do your job!

  • Excellent singing JJ! All you guys are really talented!

  • really really good!!! love them!

  • can you get this on itunes?

  • Aaaaah, I just love them! Don't know any better men's choir, really.

  • OH man what i wouldn't so to see these guys perform live!! you guys are so amazing I'm in love with your voices! :) keep up the AMAZING work.

  • I want to slap whomever it was that was coughing at the end of "Lux Aurumque" way to ruin the ending stupid person in the audience! Gorgeous stuff from an awesome fellow BHS chorus!

  • I feel sure that the owner of the 'cough' didn't have too much control over when and where it happened.

  • HOLY FRICKIN GOD!!!!!!!!! that was sick - I really miss you guyz.

  • what arrangement of Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel is this?

  • It´s from Aaron Dale

  • Got to love Eric Whitacre, with all Male Voices!
