@jonnym331 well i practiced 3 times a day, 2 of them in the water & 1 lifting, 5 times a week for 6 months...oh and 2 hours every saturday..i went from a 50 to a 47 in my 100 free and 22 to a 21 in the 50 free...it gave me a league ind. champ title and #17 in cali in the 100 free...with the right training and the can do attitude, you can become fast as hell as david...if i got a college scholarship, i would have kept swimming at least in a D2 or D3 level...but im going to med school in argentina
@jonnym331 essentials: great pace and breathing pattern on the first 50, second 50 is all walls, power, less breathing and all man...thats how i got a 47, and twice
@jonnym331 what im saying is, it depends on the coach and training times...if david's coach sucked, he would never been as fast as he is, not even if he had the talent and the right mind set
i like how after he swam a 42 which would make you extremely tired he gets right out of the water while everyone else stays in the water for a few seconds
@gh3man911 not really the only good kid in bolles right now is Ryan Murphy and all their other kids from their 1.29 relay are gone and David nolan went a 21.8 in his back leg which is 2 seconds faster than Murphy's also David Nolan would've won the 200IM at the NCAAs and come in 2nd in the 100bk he is clearly faster and umm all the relay records are from hersey for public schools the only reason Bolles would be able to beat them is because they recruit while Hershey is just a ridiculously good
@Lutzetube 1. Murphy went a 23.3 as a freshmen which is only 1.5 seconds slower than Nolan did his 50 back as a senior. and btw Murphy is currently faster at both backs and free than Nolan when he was a sophmore. 2. Bolles doesn't recruit they just have a long tradition of great swimming and coaching so all the best swimmers want to go there on their own.
@gh3man911 please get your facts straight, murphy is not faster than Nolan in any free event, maybe the 500, but i doubt it. he is also not faster than him in any backstroke, except lcm. But yes nolan and murphy are the next rising young male stars.
@gh3man911 Allright you do have a point i'll give you that but i think ryan wont be as fast as Nolan atleast in scy 100bk but for lcm he's almost there and he's got ryan in free over all Florida and Pennsylvania are just both ridiculous swimming locations i cant wait to see how ryan does this summer and the same goes for david
@MVPacMan23 Nolan's 100 free record will take some time to beat. I believe his 100 back record can be beaten by Murphy. 200 im for sure will not be beaten anytime soon by Murphy. 100 free can be beaten by whoever is a freestyle freak. Like Jimmy Feigen. But Nolan overall is awesome still. Gotta recognize that. Murphy is the next one.
@crackerjap1990 This Murphy guys is called Ryan Murphy. He is 15 right now I think. He is an amazing backstroker. He's crazy good :). All his other strokes are really good as well. That's why I'm saying he's next and he's one to be watched in the upcoming years.
@VanityShark i saw the saratoga relay, absolute monsters. they all did regular race starts cause their coach didnt want them to dq. so in a sense, they were way faster

@unrated12soloist you practiced three times a day even during the school year? were you a senior when you did the 47?
jonnym331 6 months ago
@jonnym331 and by the way, i had knee surgery plus no training for almost 4 months prior to preseason so that can explain a little

Nolan: 1:35.48 200, Murphy 1:38.47
Murphy: 4:34 500, Nolan: 4:28 In-season.
Nolan: 1:40.0 200 back as junior, Murphy: 1:43
Nolan: 45.49, Murphy: 47.86,
I think Murphy will catch him, but not for a while. Nolan is a 55.10 to Murphy's 55.56, so Murphy's got a way to go.
MVPacMan23 9 months ago
@MVPacMan23 Murphy got years to catch up to Nolan. I'm pretty sure Murphy can catch up to Nolan just by looking at his progress. He's moving up fast.
ch1do121 9 months ago
Oh easily, but it will take some time and I think Nolan's 100 free record is practically unbreakable.

Feigen was a freestyle freak, but his time was nowhere near Nolan's. It will be a while before we see another 42.
