i read two of those marines in the pic later died in a banzai charge. warfare enlightens us and destroys us.

Actually 3 of them died, one was killed i think by a grenade another was by our own ships bombing ths island and the last was killed by a sniper.

No! None of them died by a banzai charge Halo3. I did my research on this. 3 men in that photo died. Starting from the right, the 1st man Cpl.Harlon Block died by heavy mortar fire. The 3rd man Pvt.Franklin Sousley died from sniper fire. And finally, one of the two men you can't see in the photo/video, Sgt. Mike Strank died from friendly (his own) artillery fire that was called in by his own platoon leader who died just moments later from sniper fire.

I have recently hosted a film-maker who is producing a film of Bill's life story. This will be the premier effort to tell his story on film.

It is being done for the Smithsonian Museum and it's release is planned near January 2009.
