i live in toronto but have a friend who's from St. Louis...Des paire i think the name of his suburban hometown is....not too sure on the spelling, even though i'm familiar with french names, lol ...he married a Canadian girl that i went to high school with, we met by accident at a local sports bar, he's a huge Chiefs fan cuz he lived ther after he went to KU...he said the Cardinals had already moved so he doesn't cheer for the Rams, lol ....but he tells me St. Louis is a good hockey city.
@PDQ42 is St. Louis Pizza any good? i've heard different opinions..... apparently the cheese isn't mozzarella, but i've also heard u guys started thin crust...give me yur non-biased opinion.
@quincee33 They have to score more goals and stay healthy. Even though we just saw our baseball team win another World Series, the Blues really are the talk of the town right now! We just want to parade the Stanley Cup down Market Street!
@KielMan316 it does, P.S. I am a Red Wings fan :P, but I like all the old players Hull, Roy, Keith, Chelios, Osgood, ect. those were the good players I think
@CreativeTechFilms Thanks! You ever notice how many arenas in the NHL use the same goal horn as the St. Louis Blues? I'm willing to bet the Blues had it first! I just wish other teams would try something original and not copy off someone else. I heard the Red Wings are looking to replace Joe Louis Arena...any thoughts?
@quincee33 I'm just not sure. From the videos that I have seen "The Aud" had the same horn that First Niagara Center does now. At least it sounds the same.
@quincee33 I pretty sure they did. In fact I've been told they were the first NHL team to use a goal horn. I have no idea if that's true, but I know they brought the horn from the old Chicago Stadium to the United Center.
The Checkerdome (Arena or Barn as it's more commonly known) was around until 1999, but they moved to the Kiel/Savvis/Scottstrade Center in the 1994-95 season. I loved that place

does anyone remember if the Old Arena had the same goal horn that we do now?
KielMan316 4 years ago
It did from at least 1992. I remember watching the Kiel Center opener and was glad to hear the same horn when the Blues scored the first goal.

Just how long did it take for them to complete the Kiel/Savvis/Scottrade Center?

The Kiel Auditorium was torn down in 1992, Kiel Center opened in 1994. Two years? ;)
