@imkayn You'll soon learn that there are people on youtube who just like to hate. When I got negative comments on my videos I thought I could reason with them, but you learn that you can't and it's not worth your time. This video is amazing and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
@imkayn This isn't necessarily covering, it's dubbing over previously recorded music without even giving credit to the original artists. Your video information only includes that it's a "Flux Pavilion Remix."
Covering a song would be something more along the lines of reproducing a product instead of just using the original.
@Kuneida1 that would be crediting the artist. In case you didn't know, most of your favorite hip hop songs (if you listen to hip hop, which I'm guessing you don't enough because this is a normal thing in it) sample older songs. Difference is they sell that music and get it cleared by the original artists. If they don't sell it, they don't even have to credit the artist, though we did out of respect for Flux.
@imkayn Sampling in music is the act of taking a fragment of it and sampling it in a different piece of music. You just used the entire thing. The original artist is "Freestylers," by the way.
@Kuneida1 using the entire thing is also a norm. Listen to Lupe Fiasco's Friend Of The People mixtape, or any of his mixtapes for that matter. All industry beats. This is the one we used. 6/8 songs on SCARS are things you've never heard before. Please look into ones portfolio before attacking them on what you think they might be doing wrong. Or better yet- make something yourself.

Wait, is rapping over songs that have already been produced by other artists what people do nowadays?
Look this up some time:
Freestylers - Cracks (Ft. Belle Humble) (Flux Pavilion Remix)
Learn to make your own songs, please.
Sincerely,
Fellow WBHS Student.

@Kuneida1
Yes, it is called "sampling"
The best example i can think of off the top of my head is Lupe Fiasco's "The Show Goes On". Just one example, but many many artists do it.
