Compare the percentage of bad cops to bad people in general, and there is no comparison--the cop population is by and large honorable, not bad. Yet, people take anecdotal examples like this, and make the general conclusion that "cops are bad" or make statements like "I hate cops." Just further proof that the average person out there lacks basic logic.

If you break the law you face the concequences whether you're grandmother is dying or not. What if he went through that red light and happened to kill someone elses mother.

This cop still should have had some compassion though. He could have just gotten them later for it.
