I went hiking with some mates and got separated from them for a day and a half. While it wasn't very bright of me to wander off like that, I'd like to thank Les for his show, as I really think his show was the only reason I survived in the cold blue mountains wilderness in NSW Australia.
bear isnt anything compared to les. all these copy cat shows after these two are wack. Les is actually surviving. Where as the Man in Man VS Wild is verses anything. he has a camera crew. and he doesnt give very good tips when hes jumping out of planes and off cliffs and all that.
Bear Grylls = entertainment. Worst case scenario show. Not actually him surviving. Disclaimer stating that a crew is with him, and that some scenarios are staged. If you thought he was trying to be survivorman, then you're an utter moron. If I was gonna pick between you and Bear to survive with in the wild, it sure wouldn't be you, nerd.
The two shows are of different aim and format. Maybe you're just jealous that Bear is a millionaire, while you're still poor as fuck. Nigga
@ExtremeBogom props to bear for climbing everest for sure, although many by now have done it it's still a monumental achievement. I see his military service touted and ballyhooed often and while I appreciate the difficulty of that, physical fitness and soldiering don't make you a survival expert.
Anyway my problem is more with his show than with him himself. I find Stroud more real, less showy...and I prefer Mears for overall knowledge and polished programming.
Sometimes les Does carry a satalite phone.But half the time it doesent work because it wont get a signal or its wet.Once he got stranded and his phone broke and he still survived so if he needed help he would be screwed.
lol bear grylls is a little girl compared to this guy. he has to have his camera crew with him to survive Les here only needs his cameras and shoots it all himself like a real man Survivorman rules!!!!
@conjonsilver12 If you paid attention to Man vs Wild's disclaimer, you'd understand that it is not a survivorman type show. It's a 'tips' show, not Bear actually surviving. Disclaimer states he has a camera crew, scenarios set up as examples, etc.

um not much different this guy has a crew that's 30 miles away from where he's dropped off ooooh that's survival......he can radio in if he needs too. there both shows telling you how to survive it's TV !! How do we know what's real or not?
Yeah but allot of time the radio doesn't work. When he was in the various different Jungles it didn't work, and as you may have seen that was the worst time with the Jaguar. On the island there was no radio signal. Lots of the ones with heavy tree cover or mountains or canyons.
Point is he is by himself Man vs wild although interesting even admits now at the beginning of shows the crew helps. MvsW has turned into a show about survival tips not survival show.
No one can give him the definitive answer on bears? Does this interviewer just start up random bear conversations like Dwight Schrute?
