Maybe you wanted to speak of "feeling". If you practice tone you can express your feelings more accurate. I have many guitar-students who improved a lot on tone with practice and some passion (that's what 95% of guitar-playing is).

Hi, You've got a really good feel. I think you are be really good. A lot of guys don't understand what blues is. The think shredding to a 12 bar is the shit. it's not. Do what the greats did, (Clapton, SRV), listen to the old masters. Learn their phrasing. ie Muddy Waters, Magic Sam, Guitar Slim, Lightnin Hopkins, T Bone Walker, Albert King, BB King, Freddy King, Otis Rush etc. Learn, then make it your own. Also, practice w'o distorton. That'l make you play with more arrticulation.
