If there's any singing or a metal sound, it's called metal-core. Hardcore/Metal.
To say it all sounds the same which seems to me like what you saying, is just like saying rap and r&b is the same. To someone who isn't tuned or used to it, it does at first, but once you get into it, it's really really different.
