Long live Lufthansa. I love the hot towels in coach, great beer, wines and spirits all included. The meals are great and the crew is friendly better than cheapo United who charges for alcohol abroad.

Temperature or not that particular aircraft takes forever from spool up,roll, and then when the elevator is pulled back. At PDX, it uses nearly the whole runway to get air borne...very scary for a modern aircraft?and when they fly over in the region where I live, they get passed by just about every other aircraft up there...very slow plane in the air too. A 55 second takeoff is bad and does not inspire confidence even if the throttles were pulled back in interest of saving a few dollars?

Im going on this exact plane for vacation. awesome they got tvs. finally. lufthansa isnt big in having tvs there. are they on coach or just first class.

atlanta tower synchronizes takeoffs with confirmed landings to avoid symaltaneous takeoffs and parallel go-arounds, as shown by the pause for the united landing 26R

Hi, Yes LH445 has brand new TV system with 10 or more movies played independently on-demand for each passenger. Plenty of music channels.

wow my friend that was a close call, minute 6.33 is when you really take off, that is 200ft of the end of the runway!!!, normaly you take off in 50sec not in 60sec...thanks you are alive

It's normal for A340's to take the whole runway for take off due to their large fuselage and spite having 4 engines, these are not the most powerful ones. And if u see closely the runway ends way after the perpendicular taxi runway gets crossed, wich is ussually the refference to decide it.

Compared to other airports its rather good I thinks, the worst in the States is Cinncinati (CVG). I like Atlanta its easy to get around, allot of bars and restaurant at ok prices considering its a airport.

Well it is the world's busiest airport. Though a lot of airports can clam that so who really knows. I do know it is one of the busiest in the US though.
