Carl always had them do more than just the hits. Mike tours and throws in crap like their remake of Why Do Fools Fall In Love. Give it to Brain, on tour he does many late 60's early 70's songs.
@alienhuman Right. That's what so intriguing about it. It's as thou the whole melody line and chord progression of this tune just keeps modulating, and yet the melody is so discernable and wonderful.
Yes, awesome ! Sometimes you wonder why the Beach Boys hadn't more often have the guts to throw out some of their hits of the setlist and do rare stuff like this
Mike Love is sure one gay man!

The world is truly a lesser place without you, Carl. As time goes on, you are missed more and more.

These were some of their best Touring years.

Was Brian already not associating with the Beach Boys by this time?

Carl really did have one of the most perfect voices of all time, he could sing anything, its a real shame hes so over looked as a vocalist.

Still after all this time, Carl & Jeff doing " DWB" is still the highlight of that tour, 1988,& 1986. It was beautiful. Wolfsky9

This is great -- it was always special when they would roll out a hidden classic in concert.

For me, this is one of Brian's best chord progressions ever. jhp
