Well, these days candy is wrapped in tamper proof packaging. I doubt any curses actually got through. Just in case, though, it would be a good idea to wipe the outside of the packaging with and alcohol wipe before opening it.

...On a serious note this is how hate campaigns begin to freeze people out of socities. The witch trials began much like this with riddiculous claims and fear mongering. Im not saying it would come to that again by any stretch of the imagination, but we must be vigilant of those who spread fear and hate rather than love.
