@amythemistcat it's called stop motion editing. They hit the notes then used some simple editing software to blend it together. Soooo there for its FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

@NDFK1985 Simple editing would have the timing be exactly the same. There are quite a few differences in the audio, not the kind you can get by slapping a random filter on the audio. So, if it is faked, then that's some impressive editing anyway. Besides, they still have to hit the notes for the clip anyway. So, honestly, to fake it using your method would be even more impressive then it would be if they'd just played it themselves.

but to their defence i think they're really blowing on the bottle because the sound produced by the bass line could not have been like that otherwise

and the high notes might sound like sound fake because the video has been sped up so any sound in that video would have to go up in pitch respective to the speed ie. 2x equals to an octave higher (an octave can go a long way...)
