  • the flutes chillin

  • Pure Juice.

    x

  • fantastic....

  • @ srhsmoker420

You obviously have no idea how much a gram is.A 18 gram doobie would be a half meter blunt-and i highly doubt you would finish off something like that all by yourself.

  • Real great thanks for uploading!

  • on YT, you click on something and you're suddenly discovering stuff you totally were oblivious to. like this band and a bunch more that i am surfing thru right now. i've got penciled in, doing nothing but listening to obscure music all day long.

  • @alkimst13 i'm doing the exact same thing right now... and that iss really good.

  • Killer Klassic Music\,,/:{|}:(o)(o) 3x's Grat Gratus

  • @vidform check out the Dutch progressive rock band from the 70's called ; Focus

The guitarist Jan Akkerman is REALLY good and the singer Thijs van Leer plays the flute like a boss. Just download some of their albums, you wont regret it!

  • Don't you just love it when rock bands use flutes? Such an amazing combination. Why don't people use flutes like this any more? It sounds so atmospheric. I want to seek out other '60s and '70s bands that have a similar sound. Suck's Season of the Witch does not "suck" at all. lol

  • Goddam , how could I miss this great band? Heavy sound just like Iron Butterfly.

  • I have trawled the backcateloguesof 25y. In Oz we went thru the time when we couldnt play the original on radio without extortionate royalty. We bred a whole music industry off doin covers. Sometimes better than original. Try 'Railroad Gin "

Comes a Time from Brisbane. Suck it up you critics. This is what Rock and Suck is all about . interpration that delivers a zeplinnish feel to a trippy happy Donovan song. Only other good interpration is on Kooper Stills Super Session

  • i got this band when IT DIDNT EVEN EXIST ON YOUTUBE! XP

  • I really doubt you roll up over 1/2 ounce into one smoke. Also doubt you finish it alone. Also I KNOW it takes longer than 10mins to burn that much...

  • Just keeps getting better and better!!!!

  • wow, what a name for a funny name for a band lol, great sound though.

  • Third guy from the left looks a lot like Kevin Dubrow, lol

  • dig the flute man

  • Haha, "Suck....." no argument here.

  • The name of the band says it all...

  • I still have this LP. The 3rd one I owned as the other two were confiscated by the Matron and the House Nurse (Ollie and Esterhuizen) at the nurses home where I lived in Cape Town. This is still - to my ears - one of the best versions of "Season of the Witch" I have ever heard.

Ja, "Suck" - it was quite a name back then. And then came Time to Suck. Sheeeesh, what did we do to ourselves back then? We were all mal!

  • Miss Moose terribly - one of SA's true musical legends and a great guy as well!

  • ROTFL!....No that is Not Marty Feldman behind Savvy on the Album Cover.

  • @AFLAM3 lol wtf

  • @dakotamanomgwtf U have a problem? I guess u thought we were all dead and buried? Or too old to be online?...........lol - get a grip.

  • @dakotamanomgwtf or r u talking about the Marty Feldman remark? If so - a couple of ppl mentioned it was him - jokingly I am guessing.

  • @AFLAM3 Oh okay hahaha

  • This music brings back memories of 'The Colony' where all the bands would meet up to Jam tog after their stints at the clubs. Those were the Days

Thats SAVVY [the Drummer] on the far right with his cute face and Afro - Brilliant Drummer, used to have extra Drum sticks in the back of his belt, as he used to drum so fast when doing a solo the stick would fly out of his hand - but he managed to get a stick out of his belt and carry on drumming without missing a beat.

  • To bad they existed for 2 years...

  • this band is name "Suck"? talk about false advertising

  • they suck.

  • Well this was very suprising

  • Fuck yes this is music too fucking good to my ears =]

  • Brilliant stuff. These guys could eat this pesky Led Zeppelin for breakfast!!!

  • they're good, but couldn't they have chosen a different album name/band name?

  • Awsome version....also like vanilla fudges....I didn't realize until I looked at the picture that Marty Feldman....the guy with one eye lookin at cha and one eye lookin for ya... was in this band...I believe that is him second from the right. lmao

  • @sofakingmeee

He does indeed look like Marty Feldman

  • the drum solo at 6:00 will always haunt me. it's pure perfection.

  • Never heard of this band until now, very interesting. With so much attention focused on what was going on in Britain or North America at the time it's rare to hear of many of these groups today.

  • In my opinion, the Racket Squad was one of the greatest groups that came out of Pittsburgh. The lead singer's, Sonny DeNunzio, untimely death was a tragic lost for many reasons. The world lost a great performer and musical innovator.

  • Very experimental. An enjoyable ride

  • I'm freakin out man!

AAd Hey! Is that Marty Feldin back there!?!? He's got Marty Feldin eyes!

  • I'm freakin out man!

  • Superbe! J'adore ça!

  • Thanks for the upload dude, diggin it

  • Those are some ugly mofos

  • TRY "DONOVAN"S~ "season of the witch~or if u like early EARLY~PINK FLOYD~ "alb"Meddle"~one entire side of alb has trippy sound like on the moon~70s~!!

  • nice surprise, from your description i was thinking it was too intense, buts its really nice

  • great, trippy track!

  • @lsoulful Yes, it is! :) I love it!

  • I saw SUCK live a few times. Usually more Police than audience. Sometimes a dumbf*ck in the audience would try to assault them. Those were the days! Fighting for peace.

  • Muy buena.

  • Smoked a 6 gram doobie to this back in 84 now im smoking 18 gram doobie now

  • @srhsmoker420 hehe. that's A LOT! I can't even handle 0.2 grams anymore... But I still get high from it :)

  • @hackalacka

you should come to The Netherlands ;-)

  • @hackalacka dang 0.2 grams isnt nothing at all for a doob but keep smokin!

  • @hackalacka

yeah, that sounds like he had kinda bad stuff (and a huuuuuuuuge tolerance)

  • @srhsmoker420 fucken dreamin

  • @srhsmoker420 dude sweet......

  • @srhsmoker420 Thats a great catcha upper and even as recently as the time I frisbee'd the neighers cat against the beefier side of a St Bernard named "forget bourben,I'm eatin people"

  • @srhsmoker420 My 6grammer was in 74.......after that I lost count!

  • @srhsmoker420 My 6grammer was in 74......after that I lost count

  • @srhsmoker420 My 65 grammer was in 74.....snice then I've lost track

  • @srhsmoker420 youve trippled your success

  • @srhsmoker420 you rule

  • @srhsmoker420 I'm very proud of your accomplishment : )

  • @srhsmoker420 show off

  • @srhsmoker420 the stuff is so potent now they should legalize heroin and outlaw weed.

  • @srhsmoker420 Sounds like you don't even know what a gram is.

  • wow!!! oh my gawd YES!!!

  • They re a gem unkown to most.

  • This is just anazing! What a finding. Thanks for sharing

  • if some one asks me; Which time of life would you prefer to live? i would say: 60's 70's 80's.

  • @ilikeyouallot - Been there, done that. Bring on the 10's!

  • @ilikeyouallot 60s, 70s, yes. 80s, not for me thanks.

  • I know this musician well from years back, the lead singer is Gill

  • Ah yeah, this totally Sucks!

  • most any version of this song rules but this is surely 1 of the best

  • Does anybody have any idea about any videos of "SUCK"?

  • The drummer is a bad ass, but there is something wrong with the groove in the early part of this probably due to the guitar. they kind of lock in around 2:00. the guitar, bass and flute are all out of tune hehehe.

  • This sounds like Bloodrock-and that's a compliment !

  • Everybody knows it's a cover...common sense. You missed my point

  • but... but... but this is gold.

  • this isn't as original as you think it is. It sounds like a knock off of King Crimson. Crimson was basically the first prog band in 1969 and they invented the grunge sound even though it wasn't known till the Melvins came about. But they created the primus sound and Tool's sound. It was heavy as fuck with crazy time signatures. This is good but Crimson is better.

  • Blue Cheer was grungier.

And Primus sounds like The Residents.

Not as in influenced by The Residents.

They literally sound like they are The Residents.

  • True but King Crimson had that experimental/ errie quality like that of the melvins or sonic youth. Also Primus, Tool, many grunge bands (including nirvana) have cited King crimson as a main influence.

  • @AlbertMondback Could Primus really be The Residents? If they were, what happened to the Fourth Guy? And isn't it strange that their drummer never talks? Co-incidence?? Could be...

And they do Residents covers very close to the source, don't they? Hmmm...

  • I think it's safe to say we've all heard King Crimson, if we are into lesser known vintage rock music.

  • yeah everybody knows it's a cover it doesn't take a genius to figure out. Your quote is off. Also I never said they all suck. You said that. There's a little hypocrisy going on here, you're getting mad because I like a certain band a little more than another and your giving me shit for it. You're doing the same thing There's something wrong, here. Also, at least my comment was respectful and intelligent as oppose to yours. Have a nice life.

  • lol

  • i love this band really hard rock from the 70's the album time to suck is really good

  • Excellent upload.

  • this version makes me wish i had a big fat one to burn, sounds great!

  • lol Sooo true.

  • It reminds me sounds of "Jericho Jones".

  • Wow! Obscure 1970's hard rockin' bands rule.

  • @KaptSonic22 get pink floyd "obscured by clouds " album,,, one whole side called echoes the best!!!!

  • @53slyder Been there, done that! (actually that's on side two of "Meddle" but I'm right there with ya.) Obscured By Clouds includes a real stand-out called 'Childhood's End' ~

    Rock On..

  • @53slyder

    that's meddle

  • @KaptSonic22 Doesn't look 70s lol

  • Kinda odd sound(maybe not for 70's) but pretty cool! Seen this LP go for like $1500 a couple months back! Did not understand that but surely it was at least an original 1st pressing at least huh?

Hey thanks for sharing, I wondered what a $1500 band sounded like. lol
