Agree with chrisrhodes23, this song ( one of my all time favourites ) can't be an easy one to cover, and I really wondered how you were going to pull it off. There were a couple of dodgy moments maybe, but hey who am I to criticise. Particularly liked the bit at 2.50 to 3.07, worked really well.

Yeah, doing covers that are different from the original can be more interesting. My REM covers from Green have been largely praised, but sound pretty close to the initial recording.

I play an Eb by sliding a C chord (with a G bass) up 3 frets. You can let the open G string ring out as a G note is in an Eb chord. Just make sure you mute the open E string.
