We are so ineffably bound by our mortality, and yet an immortal race could not write and play a song like this. We pay the price for loss in beauty.., and does this not tell us that the world and its family of life is worth saving! The Gods out there would surely want to be nearer to us, who suffer infinite loss, and find love.

Remember Rashamon? 5 different versions by 5 different people witnessing the same exact event. All stories are embellished to touch the heart. Even the 4 disciples, Mark, Mathew, Luke & John had contradictions in their stories. Truth is that which the mind decides it to be.

As for the gospels, even though it looks like they have some contradictions within their text, I think if you look at it deeply through a different context and realize the different social norms and customs, then the contradictions will actually not really be existent.

try to play the melody clean and without any redundant parts...

The version of "Nearer My God To Thee" that was played on the Titanic, as she sank, was either the British version ("Hobrury"), or the British Methodist version ("Propior Deo"). ;)

Very moving and compassionate. This hymn has taken on a deeper meaning as a final utterance of hundreds of souls who went to their Maker in the icy depths of the North Atlantic and that great Cruise Liner, the Titanic, sank. Justin renders the music with the reverence it deserves. Just beautiful!
