I am with you on the fact that this would be a good sound track song on a film but I don't think so for a race. This is the song that comes on as you drive away introspectively in your car after a lot of different events happened that will forever change your life ... you are happy but you haven't digested the information yet ... you don't know what life will bring yet but you know it will be forever different than it was before and you are happy about it. :)

Actually, fjord a Norwegian word. Furthermore, the Mississippi is not a fjord because it does not have the requisite steep slopes on either side of the waterway.

Pantheon Steel is almost finished with their refinining to produce one similar to this. They had to do their own research, I think, to figure out how to make one. You can get on their email list if you go to their website. They were supposed to have it on the market by Jan 1st, 2009, but decided to do some more perfection of it.

I called a specialty music store and the owner said that only one guy makes them in Switzerland, and he stopped making them about 20 years ago... also that he only made hang drums for "professional" musicians... Anyone know any more info on where I can pick one up? I must find one before I die... I would trade in all of the drums I have (well, all but my djembe) for a hang drum.
