@SeanKearneyFILM I played the demo and yeah, it is actually pretty good. It's not up to Skyrim levels, but it's still great. It's like a more serious Fable 1, so if you loved that then you'd probably love this.

@lgvereor Neither of the two games you mentioned are remotely original, yet you do like them. On top of that there is NO resemblance between them and Reckoning. For example, in Skyrim you're a random dude killing dragons, here you are a reborn dude trying to find his fate in a war-torn world. In Skyrim the combat is highly simplistic, here you have combo-chains and awesome effects, also...actually, I just realized you're fucking stupid so I'll stop here.

From what I've seen in the trailers so far, The world and people look VERY much like world of warcraft. Blood elves were the first thing that came to mind with the "well of souls", it certainly didn't help to have a blood elf looking guy. I'm not sure what the little fella with the crazy hair was, but either dwarf or gnome. I think I'll enjoy it, but after 22 years of playing games, quite honestly most of them just seem too similar.

@OdinThorn No there wont be multiplayer in it but i believe there will be an MMO version of set in the kingdoms of amalur but after like the era of the tuatha war and the fateless one cus the world whas orginally created for an MMO
@iLuvmyPS2 It will be a better player experience for alot of people, as simple as that. Skyrim may be big and have alot of narrative spaces and support just walking around and do "stuff" in.
But quite frankly, the visuals and animations doesn't look cool/fun, and certainly doesn't feel cool/fun. Reckoning does what Skyrim does, but adds more fluent and visually gratifying combat. That's how I see it! :)
@JustaRegularDev I doubt it. The Elder Scrolls goes above and beyond the typical RPG formula. For other recent more comparable RPGs look at games like Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Dungeon Siege 3, and Two Worlds 2. Hopefully this one won't be as horrible as Two Worlds 2 though.

It looks absolutely nothing like it, at least from a gameplay standpoint. From what I've seen it looks more comparable to those I mentioned, regardless of who is actually making. Bethesda themselves could be making it and still have it be a completely different game than the Elder Scrolls.

It has greater voice acting. location scale, combat. Plus this was originally suppose to be an MMO and is only a portion of the world. so yes it's in the realm of the elder scrolls and quite frankly everything I've seen from Skyrim and heard on KoA KoA is a much better game.

I will definitely keep my pulse on that game though... I love the fact that this game has a real arcade style/fast paced combat system with lots of fighting game elements. It looks great and I bet it feels great. "Normal" MMORPG's (although Reckoning is not one, but nontheless) can really learn from this. Make the combat system entertaining instead of boring!
MAAAAAAAAAN.... I hope this is better than Dragon age Origins coz then I can forget all about not so great DA2 and DA3.... as this game will surely span a franchise : )

@GruntBday567 IT looks cheap and cartoony. All the characters have a blank expressions on their faces the monsters didn't look scary, and the effects look choppy. It doesn't hurt to add better graphics if the game requires hours of adventuring.

Game looks really good.. graphics do look a bit dated but hell I still play N64 games so whatever, as long as the gameplay is there.
And the open world is gigantic apparently.. kind of hard to keep textures really good looking with a set polygon count that can't really be increased

I love the fact that this game has a real arcade style/fast paced combat system with lots of fighting game elements. It looks great and I bet it feels great. "Normal" MMORPG's (although Reckoning is not one, but nontheless) can really learn from this. Make the combat system entertaining instead of boring!

@ahh10123 I don't know if it'll be great or not but after creating a prologue for Hawke in DA2 for the Mage and templar wars... Bioware is going to make DA3 about some other random fucking character again... then wtf did we play DA2 for?? I learned to like DA2 for it's new features despite it being a footnote compared to DAO but this new direction these BioWare retards are taking is FAIL SAUCE... and fans will be disappointed again...

@FrostyThePanda I think WoW resembles DAOC, which resembles Everquest, which ripped off UO, Cmon kid we can do this all day, fact of the matter is WoW is not original, they did not invent any of the races in their game besides dreanai, and you should go read a few fantasy books that were made before WoW, then post crap like that.

@GruntBday567 IT looks cheap and cartoony. All the characters have a blank expressions on their faces the monsters didn't look scary, and the effects look choppy. It doesn't hurt to add better graphics if the game requires hours of adventuring.

Couldn't care less about the plot... Show ME More COMBAT footage !!!! That's what got me interested in the first place.
And releasing it in Feb 7 isn't a very wise choice, considering that it's going toe to toe with the franchise behemoth that is Mass Effect. This game will be overshadowed. Oh EA, why u so dumb....
