  • my boys are watching LOTR right now, had to show them this... their facial expressions were quite amusing

  • who would have thought that Agent Smith and General Zod are Sissies...

  • The Aussies sure make great movies. They have an awesome sense of humour and are very laidback and easy going. Loved Muriels wedding also. Thanks for all the laughs. For such a small population you have so many talented actors and singers. Great stuff.

  • @MsCaz007 yeah we have some great movies, can't say the same for the tv industry here

  • This version exceeds Gloria Gaynor's (not that she didn't do a good job,

the woman rocks and has an exceedingly powerful voice.

The song in this extraordinary movie was the best due to it's incorporation of

the native people of Australia joining in with their vocals and own instrument.

Why do movies like this gem become sleepers, as so many others do

when they are genius? I recall Terrance Stamp doing a pro job in

"Far From the Madding Crowd"........years back. Not enough acclaim.

  • this is a true video? D:

  • i want his penis in me

  • o rodrigo faroo danço ontem

  • Agent Smith....hahaha what are you doing here? XDD

  • epic trousers!!!! i want some!!

  • hahahha, this is a bloody good movie <3

  • my name is Priscilla :3

  • XD funny super funny

  • love this tune and this film

  • Such an appropriate song for both groups of people represented in this scene. I love it. Priscilla is such a ground breaking film and the Australian film industry should be forever proud of it.

  • Yes, my fave scene, too. Then again, there is the scene with the ping pong ball...

  • You have to see this movie. It rocked!

  • @TheSuburbanBase Yes absolutely wonderful movie. Loved it!

  • que padre es divertido

  • Que bien esta, a mi me latio...

  • Priscilla is a wonderful film which remained in the history of cinema. Make me die faces of Hugo and Terence, while it is ironic to think that Guy disguised himself as a female and has the arm by a longshoreman, then are those who sent in that situation of shit with the guys at Drive-in

  • What a wonderful celebration of joy this is. A celebration of color and music beyond all barriers.

  • sorry all but who may give me the name of this song . Thanks a lot.

  • this is every drag queens anthem

  • That is probably the most moving scene from the film :)

  • its a great video!

  • i love this scene

  • de memoria..........................

  • Bastardizing the Aboriginal culture is fun for those who deem them uncivilized, and this song is evidence of the fact.

  • @Logicbeatslies you miss the point of the whole scene it is not about bastardizing it is about acceptance three drag queens roaming though the desert and the aboriginies accept them and share their beautiful music if you can't see that i feel sorry for you

  • @Logicbeatslies All respect, but I too think you're missing the point. The idea of the scene is that both groups of marginalised Australians find acceptance from eachother and this song really brings it home. If it had been Mamma Mia or another classic "drag song" I would probably be more inclined to agree with you but the fact that they unite over "I Will Survive" is poignant. Both groups have, and will continue to, survive prejudice and hate. Let's hope this ignorance will COMPLETLY end soon.

  • @amyminchinhills Maybe if the typical hard working townsfolk were in the song, I'd agree, but it seems that being working class is unpopular, you know. I just feel for anglo-bogans these days. We lift up one lot at the expense of another and keep the cycle turning when we feign moral outrage.

  • @Logicbeatslies Ah, but anglo bogans, from my experience have a choice in the which they respond to both Aboriginal Australians and GLBTI people as well as other non white races. Being hard working/working class is not what is looked down upon by most Aussies (quite the opposite... tall poppy syndrome abounds), rather the behaviour of those involved in cronulla and other less extreme but just as damaging actions is what shocks and disgusts. Have you seen the rest of the film?

  • @amyminchinhills My point is very hard to describe. I haven't made myself clear and I'm not sure if I can.

If it helps, imagine yourself a Muslim, and how gay people look to you. Your views of bogans and theirs of gays are both negative.. gays chose to be un-family-like, camp etc. On the other hand, bogans aren't always carrying on like louts and their lack of university education isn't the end of the world.

I'm trying to be objective. I hope you can. Cronulla isn't boganism.

    They are people.

  • @Logicbeatslies I only ask because there's a character who is a white, Aussie, bogan, dinky di, hardworking and working class who is accepting of both the 3 drag queens, Indigenous Australians and other marginalised groups of people, at his own expense. The entire film is a realistic portrayal of outback Australia at the time of writing (just as the AIDS epidemic was slowing down a bit). It's quite the piece of social history.

  • @amyminchinhills Interesting, but the all of the gay sequences are fantasy and unrealistic. The bogan sympathiser is somewhat gay. There's no shortage of gays amongst bogans, but homosexuality does go against the hard working ethic of raising a family. The excesses of the troupe are hardly going to be acceptable, yet that's how it's portrayed.

I don't mind, but I'm not at all impressed.

I feel like aboriginal culture was used to vindicate camp behaviour.

I dunno. There's something more to it.

  • @Logicbeatslies Whatever mate, you should respect the choices of the Aboriginal people who appear in this film, it was their choice to be in it and they can do what they want with their culture. Besides which, I hardly see this as bastardising their culture, nor being disrespectful of it, nor as a way of deeming Aborigines "uncivilized". In point of fact the Aborigines in this film show a lot more respect & kindness to the 3 protagonists than many other groups & this only reflects well on them.

  • We will Survive. I mean, I will survive.

  • Damn this movie is the bomb!!

  • Agent Smith?

  • @voon100 Yup THEE Hugo Weaving...I actually like this Movie way more than the Matrix Movies...

  • @mattfoley99 which one is hugo weaving?

  • @Azrael666Azazel I'm fairly sure he's the one in the yellow. He's the first one you "see" In this scene. He's truly a brilliant actor and really added depth to the character...

Yeah Like I said I Prefer this character over Mr. Smith

  • divino

  • i love it ! its very good !!!!!

my name is priscilla, too !

    haaaahhahahah !

  • I love showing homophobic Matrix fanboys this movie...it makes their heads explode. XD

  • @sinistralwing I just showed this to the boyfriend whom is so homophobic it's scary. He's still in shock :D He's still sick with disbelief. And he's gonna get over his homophobia if it kills both of us.

  • At first I was like "a digeridoo?" and then it made sense with the accents... Drag and digeridoos. Perfecto!

  • one of the best aussie movies

  • crack up man!!! this movie was so funny, shit that the soundtrack dun have the didge and chanting innit though.

  • i'm pretty sure ryan chong was the body double for all the close ups. kind of like julia roberts in pretty woman.

  • the only thing that's fucked up is that you haven't seen this movie. Priscilla is one of (if not THE) best feel good film ever made! Get it!

  • This has got to be one of the most awesome things I have ever seen put to film.

  • just saw it today in London. EPIC WIN.

  • Hugo Weaving, I love this guy.....

  • I always loved this scene. i think it was meant to show that, while the trio was shunned in the other so-called "upstanding" towns, this group of "uncivilized" Aborigines welcomed them with open arms and open minds.

  • Absolutely agree. Heartwarming and funny.

  • I love it. Agent Smith, Edmund Exley, and General Zod in drag.

  • esse filme e show , brasil

  • Sister Act is much better.

  • I just watched both movies back to back. Isn't that funny? I love me my Whoopi.

  • Have you seen Sister Act The Musical? with Patina Miller? She's sooo amazing and talented.

  • sister act is a great movie, but this is about drag queens not under privileged kids, about the rights of the gay community and how they just like you and me... but funnier and love different and they want what we want love hope peace and a family and just to be happy good post mate..... ;)

  • Comment removed

  • I wish they'd put this version of the song with the Aboriginal chants on the album.

  • i so want to see this musical!

  • At 1:48 when the aborigine chants start in unision with the song, it's complete and utter magic.

  • @beefmageditor you couldn't have said it any better!!!!!!

  • @beefmageditor concur and so captivating.

  • i love priscilla....

  • Agent Smith is a drag queen!

  • He's also one of the Elf Lord in Lords of the Rings movie. =P

  • Lol This film practically raised me! :O hehe

  • haha I thought so too! I just saw it for the first time 2 weeks ago! and watched it 3 times already :D I love it

  • non ci credoXD!

  • This scene is so good. I can watch it over and over again. They brought new life to this song and the Aborigine chant in the end is amazing. Brilliant.

  • mr.smith,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • mr. Hugo Weaving...and the funny thing is...i am also a Hugo lol

  • Mr. Anderson. . . . My name is Neo!!!

  • Guy Pierce.. he is even sexy in drag! <3

  • And to think he went on to play 'V' in V for Vendetta..... Brilliant.

  • teehee, we went to see priscilla yesterday at London. I dont know if this bit was in the movie but someone made a cake and then someone else ate it so they started singing about the cake and it was funny

    :)

  • I love this movie and this part is very good!

  • I just love this film

  • How awesome would've the Agent Smith vs Neo fight been if EVERY Smith was dressed like that?

  • Now that WOULD be intriguing! XD

Interestingly enough, I went to see this at my local Cineworld today. (It was their monthly "classic".)

  • I can't believe that's Agent Smith under there.

  • ahahahahahhaha....omg! that was funny!! cant stop gigling, ty for posting

  • I LOVE THIS SO FUCKING MUCH.

Especially when the natives start singing along aswell it sounds amazing.

  • EPIC LOL!!

  • Now this scene takes the cake. Paying respects to the outback and it's people. Nothing wrong with that at all.

  • Put the right man in the right women's clothes and I think it's sexy, but only if he is into it, too. I hate forced cross-dressing. The false love response that occurs from coerced sexual acts is not hot, it's a survival mechanism of our brains. (Stockholm Syndrome) I find the feeling nauseating. That's why S&M and the like is becoming past tense in my life. It's sad, but it's not sex anyway. So who cares? No one has ever been able to make it beautiful with me, so it must not be real.

  • hahahahaa

  • Hmmm, very interesting comment you make. That is why I stopped responding to the coercion. Funny how you can take all your personal power back that way.... and if you partner doesn't like it, that means that is all they wanted in the first place. Sad but true. Their loss ! The beautiful sex is out there, for you and me both !

  • Q chido ehehe jaja. No se que haria este mundo sin travestis no hubiera tanta alegria ni tanta libertad. Ojala q la homofobia se acabe!!

  • BEST Dragmovie I ever saw!!!!! This scene ( and the endscene) are my favorites too!!!! Those costumes, that makeup, the story, the acting and the switching of roles!!!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!

  • yeah the Prscilla movie was great but too bad this movie was in parody since the "too wong foo" movie copied many parts oif the movie from the wacky clothing to travelling in the countryside to entertaining the local townsfolks when their vehicle was in trouble.

  • Yeah, "Wong Foo" was definitely "Disney Does Priscilla". :-////

  • LOVE THIS SONG LOVE THIS MOVIEE
