I grew up with SPuds. I miss that dog. To hell with those complaining back then. so what I loved spuds and i do not drink beer to this day.

This looks like such a stupid commercial. A partying dog... what a joke. And why did they have to make him a bull terrier? Among one of the most ugly dogs ever. It might look tough, but in all it's costumes, it just looks pathetic and sad. I pity the dog who was used for that commercial :-(

@headmouse On the contrary, headmouse; one of my most favourite styles of music is 80's music. And my criticism is not about the 80's in general, or how they did commercials without any computer animation. It is about the sheer stupidity of putting a dog in a costume and making him a party animal. Mind you, I would have criticised any commercial, even today, that would show such absurdity. Animal mockery + commercials = bad idea

well isnt this a blast from the past. didnt PETA get this video banned by saying it promoting partying with animals? do people even get animals trashed anymore? i remember there was a frat at my college in the early 90's that killed a dog via alcohol poisoning. everyone's so politically correct now, they wouldnt be able to get away with those animal shenanigans today. doesnt bother me though. while he lived that dog had the life. probably got to party harder than i did.

I saw maybe one Spuds commerical (I think it involved a ski jump) in my time, but asked for and received a Spuds T-shirt for my 10th or 11th birthday. My gym teacher in sixth grade forbid me to wear it (I think I had two shirts) despite no beer adverts on the shirt itself...I think a cooler was depicted on one of them, but you couldn't see that Bud Light was in the cooler.
