Last year I saw them in NYC and I had that feeling again, my heart in my throath, my jaw almost on the floor, and tears running in my cheeks. Wasn't this episode of Reverb incredible? Bjork was the other half of the episode performing at the Riverside Church. She did the hits from the Homogenic and Vespertine albums. She was the reason that many tuned into this episode of Reverb. Sigur Ros stoled the show. Ágætis byrjun was just released in the states so this was Sigur Ros first exposure. Sigur Ros became the new face of Icelandic music.

I never thought that anyone thereafter could ever challenge the shear power & majesty of YES, EL&P, Pink Floyd, RUSH, Van Der Graff Generator, Moody Blues, Genesis, WHO, King Crimson, etc. but I happily concede that today's music is better than ever. I'm a music junky! As a Nightwish fan of 3 years I own all their CDs & DVDs. It's a matter of taste but I think they're one of the all-time greatest Power Rock bands I've heard. They've both male & female vocals. Tarja was replaced by Anette recently. Truely epic sound. Songs like, I Wish I had an Angel, Islander, Over The Hills & Far Away, Amaranth, & Pink Floyd's High Hopes marks them as worthy of listening. Many who hear them for the first time consider them their new favorite band.
