I'm so confused, there are so many clips in this trailer that I have never seen in any of the releases, those am talking about is: 00:28, 00:33, 00:40, 01:13 it's all the magic stuff I haven't seen in the different movie releases. Anyone else that actually have seen those scenes in a relases?
In my honest opinion, this is only one of the HIGHLANDER sequels that isn't an insult to the original. Sure it still isn't as good as the first but I think it's pretty decent. The second is just WTF, the third was a blande retread of the first, and THE SOURCE was well...THE SOURCE!
And guys. Don't get me wrong. I really like Connor (which is saying a lot since he really starred in only one good movie) but he had a pretty dignified death and they did a great job playing up the drama of it.
i didn't cry when connor died, i was freaking mad as hell; i don't care how much the tv series screwed up the continuity, that was the last straw for me when duncan won; the whole series should have been a prelude to the first one since CONNOR WON THE PRIZE!!
also donnie yen was completely underutilized and the editing was god-awful in the final fight with kell and duncan; i don't hate duncan but the wrong guy won, pure and simple
I have to admit... i fucking loved this movie. in my opinion it is almost as good as the first one, and that movie is one of my favourite movies of all time. i cried when connor died. i am dead fucking serious. the second one was a piece of shit. the third one, skipped that shit and just went with the original.
I think the actors were great. the action was great, and the story was great. top-notch fucking movie adrian paul is awesome.

To be honest I would've liked to have seen the movie that went with that trailer, the one they released was depressing and it was gut retching how they killed Connor off. I think if they had kept to the supernatural side of it (where Jacob Kell had magic powers) that would've been an entertaining highlander film.
Oh, and this movie (much like everything else from this franchise apart from the first and third movies and the TV series) makes me want to punch infants.

I can get over the fact that a lot of the scenes in the trailer was not in the movie. What I can never forgive, is that they made it seem as if this movie would give equal billing to both Highlanders. This was a strictly Duncan Macleod flick, and NOT the Macleod movie that was "promised". This was like watching Star Trek:Generations. A "pass-the-torch" movie that should've had both old and new before it carried on with the new. Kirk/Picard or Connor/Duncan. Either one;FAIL.
This is actually an interesting premise in Highlander lore, I always wondered what would happen if you broke the rules. Too many problems though, 1. You can't have Duncan and Connor in the same universe, 2. You can't say that Duncan was married, 3. Have half of the shit in the trailer in the actual movie, 4. Get a better actor than the blue-lipped guy from Dungeons and Dragons.

And last year you could buy a lil poster with his hand print on it. But it was like $500 for one! Everyone in the group flat out said he is and always has been a sell out. And that's the hardcore nerds that know what they are talking about. Nobody bought one.
@teamzulu16 well they where always going to recast a relatively unknown actor in the main characters part orginally adrian paul was going to play conner but he wanted to develope an new character so they had more room to breath and play with the character, had nothing to do with money. As for the poster...well he is a business man wants to make money.
i've watched endgame on TV a long time ago, and it was so pointless and stupid that i forgot it even existed for probably a good deal of a decade. all the neat stuff seen in this trailer would hardly have made the movie more coherent, but they could have made it moresuspensful ad entertaining. a dmn shame
for someone who has only watched highlander 1 and is getting the series on dvd season 1 is this worth getting i havent watched 2 but saw a review that pointed out all the plot points and i have done the same with the source so is it worth getting or renting end game and highlander 3?

Such a shame that the trailer was 10 times better than the movie. I just absolutely hate how this trailer and all the solicits basically say how "They must break the rules to take him on" It leads everyone to believe that this threat is so massive that Conor and Duncan will take him on at once. IT should have been both of them facing him and both beheading him and sharing the quickening. The end could have been them realizing they were the final two and a tease about them possibly fighting.
Highlander had one amazing film (the first one) and one amazing tv show. BUT it also had Highlander 2, Highlander 3, this piece of shit, Highlander the Source, Highlander the Animated Series and that shitty anime movie. Hey, Star Wars fans! You guys wanna see some REAL franchise rape!? Look no further. Y'all got nothing to complain about.

@Saucypants1000 I loved the show. It was campy, sure, and Duncan had NOTHING on Conner, but I loved all the same. Great action, an interesting mythology, and some cool storylines. And anything would be a masterpiece compared to the Source.
Yeah Adrian Paul though not much of an actor was a better swordsman then Connor and really carried the show and I liked the Mythos character, and Joe Dawson and for TV action it was pretty good. I'll give you that, if you loved it that's cool, I just thought it was alright for the most part.

From what I heard the idea to reboot the whole thing came about around the time The Source was released. Kinda makes me think someone saw it and said "Y'know what? This sucks. Lets take this back to square one and start over."
ROFL you're probably right, that's exactly what happened, somebody saw that cinematic abomination and said "Wow this is actually worse then Endgame and the Quickening" and got inspired to just hit the reset button.
Jacob could've been the greatest Immortal villain had they kept the magical aspect instead of lying to us through the trailer. It would've shown that he was indeed too powerful for a single MacLeod to take on and would've put greater emphasis on forcing both Connor and Duncan to break the rules and fight him 2 against 1 for the fate of the world. (Besides, Jacob was breaking the rules anyway.) Argh, Highlander Endgame could've been the best sequel ever!
This was the bad advertisement indeed. I remember when I saw Jacob Kell split into two I was like "HOLY SHIT! He might be even tougher than the evil Sorcerer in the third Highlander!" I was wrong. Jacob Kell turned out to be a Daddy's boy that just wants revenge against Conner for killing his priest. The motivation of the villain is rather weak and the love interest between Duncan and Faith is mild. It wasn't rekindled in the original cut and Conner should have been the One. Not Duncan.

@enasninsane I have a pretty good cut of the sequel on DVD. It has no reference of the "Planet Zeist" or the original idea of the Highlander being an alien. In fact the cut I have has more connectivity to the original.
@sfighter991 well i read about the director's cut, but it stated that it was also fail. i think maybe it is beyond repair, but i couldn't confirm that for myself because i refuse to subject myself to it all over again if it is as terrible as the original cut.

I remember this trailer. It's what made me so interested in seeing the film. This really was the beginning of the end for the Highlander franchise. The magic angle could have been interesting. Instead they made Connor fight like an amateur which was more upsetting then seeing him die.
I like the part where they are jumping through that portal. It's like they saw the trailer for Devil's Own and were like, "FUCK IT!!" and took it further.

This movie was such a lie , half the shit in the trailer wasn't even in the film! How did they get away with changing around the whole movie's plot from what was advertised? Kell had no powers , they never traveled through a portal and Kell can not split in two or stop objects with his mind....this is huge change and they should have advertised this prior to the films release ( which they didn't ). That would've been cool to see Connor and Duncan each take on a Kell when he splits in two. I assumed that was going to happen. Also, the scene where Kell stops the sword would've been nice, also the ball of Connor screaming, but I guess overall having Kell be non-magical was good because he was more about making Connor miserable than anything.
After seeing Methos in the film, I was hoping that he would be part of the action of fighting the other evil immortals while Duncan or Connor would battle Jacob Kell. Macleod fight was the best. I agree with you guys.
The MacLeod battle was the coolest part though. I have a version where their isn't as much talking. Just a fluid fight scene, its called "R.I.P. HIGHLANDER".
False advertising. Totally misleading. I liked the movie, but my biggest issue was Duncan's fight with Kell. They actually showed 1 part of the fight twice. Terrible editing for what was supposed to be the climax (Apart from the MacLeod battle).
I loved this movie and thought it was a nice add-on to the TV series but this trailer rely did lie to us with all that cool looking stuff that never happend in the movie. If you look on IMDB they say those parts where filmed just for this trailer and never intended for the film...which is odd.
The best part of the film was Bruce Payne's portrayal of Jacob Kell. Immortal villains should be larger than life and Kell was! Connor was supposed to be tired and burned out. I hope that's why Lambert acted so tired...

i've watched endgame on TV a long time ago, and it was so pointless and stupid that i forgot it even existed for probably a good deal of a decade. all the neat stuff seen in this trailer would hardly have made the movie more coherent, but they could have made it moresuspensful ad entertaining. a dmn shame

Such a shame that the trailer was 10 times better than the movie. I just absolutely hate how this trailer and all the solicits basically say how "They must break the rules to take him on" It leads everyone to believe that this threat is so massive that Conor and Duncan will take him on at once. IT should have been both of them facing him and both beheading him and sharing the quickening. The end could have been them realizing they were the final two and a tease about them possibly fighting.

Yeah Adrian Paul though not much of an actor was a better swordsman then Connor and really carried the show and I liked the Mythos character, and Joe Dawson and for TV action it was pretty good. I'll give you that, if you loved it that's cool, I just thought it was alright for the most part.

From what I heard the idea to reboot the whole thing came about around the time The Source was released. Kinda makes me think someone saw it and said "Y'know what? This sucks. Lets take this back to square one and start over."

Jacob could've been the greatest Immortal villain had they kept the magical aspect instead of lying to us through the trailer. It would've shown that he was indeed too powerful for a single MacLeod to take on and would've put greater emphasis on forcing both Connor and Duncan to break the rules and fight him 2 against 1 for the fate of the world. (Besides, Jacob was breaking the rules anyway.) Argh, Highlander Endgame could've been the best sequel ever!

This was the bad advertisement indeed. I remember when I saw Jacob Kell split into two I was like "HOLY SHIT! He might be even tougher than the evil Sorcerer in the third Highlander!" I was wrong. Jacob Kell turned out to be a Daddy's boy that just wants revenge against Conner for killing his priest. The motivation of the villain is rather weak and the love interest between Duncan and Faith is mild. It wasn't rekindled in the original cut and Conner should have been the One. Not Duncan.

I remember this trailer. It's what made me so interested in seeing the film. This really was the beginning of the end for the Highlander franchise. The magic angle could have been interesting. Instead they made Connor fight like an amateur which was more upsetting then seeing him die.

Why bother shooting expensive, awesome scenes just for the trailer to make the film look good when you could clearly have done so in the actual film? Are they insane?
I've never seen anything so stupid. I remember hearing each individual audience members' disappointment, confusion and disbelief, when this film ended.

This movie was such a lie , half the shit in the trailer wasn't even in the film! How did they get away with changing around the whole movie's plot from what was advertised? Kell had no powers , they never traveled through a portal and Kell can not split in two or stop objects with his mind....this is huge change and they should have advertised this prior to the films release ( which they didn't ). Im glad the rights to this franchise have been bought by someone else, Panzer/Davis...epic fail!

That would've been cool to see Connor and Duncan each take on a Kell when he splits in two. I assumed that was going to happen. Also, the scene where Kell stops the sword would've been nice, also the ball of Connor screaming, but I guess overall having Kell be non-magical was good because he was more about making Connor miserable than anything.

After seeing Methos in the film, I was hoping that he would be part of the action of fighting the other evil immortals while Duncan or Connor would battle Jacob Kell. Macleod fight was the best. I agree with you guys.

I loved this movie and thought it was a nice add-on to the TV series but this trailer rely did lie to us with all that cool looking stuff that never happend in the movie. If you look on IMDB they say those parts where filmed just for this trailer and never intended for the film...which is odd.

The best part of the film was Bruce Payne's portrayal of Jacob Kell. Immortal villains should be larger than life and Kell was! Connor was supposed to be tired and burned out. I hope that's why Lambert acted so tired...
