Tate DID do unspeakable things that cannot be undone, forgotten, and to most, forgiven. The creator of the show referred to his character as the 'the true monster'. But that's the point..

@ConcreteGirl4 honestly, how was the guy supposed to be normal or stable? his mother killed his father, his stepfather killed his brother, he had three disabled siblings and lived in a haunted house. Yes, what he did to those kids at school was unspeakable, but after he died, everytime he did something horrible, was actually because he wanted to make someone happy or protect someone. I believe deep down he was actually a sweet soul, only screwed up.

He has a mother complex, that's why he wanted to give Nora the baby that she wanted. I'm sure if he had known and loved Violet earlier he wouldn't have raped Vivien. But I still love this show. It's amazing. :')

But this is fiction and allows us dream of an impossible love, that someone loves you so much who are willing to do anything for you and you will forgive him for always being together.
Watching this is a completely different experience knowing now that he said all this right after she died in his arms while he tried to save her....it was beautiful before but now its beautiful and heartbreaking all at once because of the pain he must feel

i love that they cast an awesome guy so people won't hate his character.
Evan Peters is amazing in this show. And Taissa Farmiga is surprisingly good despite that this is her first major regular project.
Heck, all the actors here are fucking unbelievably excellent.
