Mike Terrana, Doug Wimbish & Alex Scholpp have more talent than the respective Nightwish players with their chosen instruments. hands down. I love nightwish (both the old and new) but these guys here can play circles around them. If you take the symphony out of nightwishes music, it really leaves noting special or unique. These guys don't need a ton heavy symphonic sounds to compliment their playing. The proof is in the pudding, its there for all to see. I'm glad Tarja is solo for one

You have to understand what kind of singer Tarja is, especially in this song. Being she sings classically she relies a lot on keeping her abdominal relatively straight, or at least not to bend forward, or lose the strength in her voice and belting. She also has to keep her chin up and mouth open.

So the fact she moves at all, however bendy and funny, is pretty rad in itself.

At least she doesn't do Sharon's crazy hand things :P

Annette is just a mediocre singer like thousands, what was different in Nightwish from Evanescence or bands like that was the combination of a really great trained operistic voice on a Heavy Metal layer ... now they have just a female not so talented small singer.

You could like Annette, these are just tastes, but there's an abyss between the two, a technical abyss, a personaliy abyss and that unique flavor that now Nightwish have lost, turning them in just a good metal band.
