@kungharry ummm no. as far as I can see they simply replaced the normal textures of the game with very pixelized ones and only set the graphic settings on very low. but even this 8 year old game would be too much for todays portable devices. however half life or counter strike would be worth a try ;) I heard that there was a quake clone for a portable device (I believe iphone) so it should be possible

@TheZapeth i still think this can be run on galaxy s II... yep, quake is available on android, i don't know about ios. new devices shouldn't be underrated, they are probably more powerful than my previous computer (which was good in 2003).

1993 is too early, back then it was VGA cards with no 3d whatsover and less than 1mb of memory. Coupled with the fact that 4mb ram was the norm and the 486 DX2 66s were probably the fastest CPUs availabe.
