The Fame Monster is about the darker side of fame, which is clearly reflected in that video. Bad Romance is a song about being in love with a friend, and she is expressing that closed feeling to being a sex slave.
My least favorite thing about Bad Romance is that she says "you and me could write a bad romance" .... Now I understand it when artists skirt grammar rules to make the lyrics flow better or sound better, but "you and I" would sound 100x better in this song! Is it just me? Whyyy?

You know, say what you will about "Bad Romance", I can't say I like it either. But at least it makes an impression. I mean, the seizure-like "roma-roma-ma" sticks to your ear (and you can't tell whether it's annoying or pleasant) and the video is weird enough to get your attention. "Born this way", on the other hand, is so... underwhelming. It sounds boring and, after all the odd stuff we've seen from her, the video looks... common and uninteresting.
@Phastolph I know you posted that like 5 days ago, but I found that Born this way is pretty ironic. From what I know it's about her being this weird, crazy musician, and it's her most normal song. And as for Bad Romance, Todd said he the song grew on him and he thinks the video is actually pretty good and suits the video well.

definitely your worst review - you made about as much sense as Gaga's outfits. in fact, you spend about 8 minutes ranting about the stupid costumes, and only about 1 minute commenting on the actual song. Plus you take stuff way more literally than the artists intended (ex. "rough sex" doesn't equal abuse) so you make yourself look stupid when you say stuff like that, not the artist.

No offence meant but filming yourself in the dark really does detract from an entertainment value this video might have actually had, and the only enjoyable moments were when the batshit insane music video clips actually appeared on the screen, and I'm glad they did because I was praying for something to actually happen. I'm not saying you should act like a total spaz in front of the camera, just be yourself and film in a lit room, and wear a mask if you're so afraid to show your face.

"Born this way", on the other hand, is so... underwhelming. It sounds boring and, after all the odd stuff we've seen from her, the video looks... common and uninteresting.

@Phastolph I know you posted that like 5 days ago, but I found that Born this way is pretty ironic. From what I know it's about her being this weird, crazy musician, and it's her most normal song. And as for Bad Romance, Todd said he the song grew on him and he thinks the video is actually pretty good and suits the video well.

@PoppinFresh96 Yeah, I know he said after you get used to the song's weirdness, you'll start enjoying it and I saw him compliment the way the video suits it during "Alejadro"'s review. But, well, I kinda never got used to the forced weirdness of the song, so... But I think it deserves recognition for being... original, noticeable and different.

definitely your worst review - you made about as much sense as Gaga's outfits. in fact, you spend about 8 minutes ranting about the stupid costumes, and only about 1 minute commenting on the actual song. Plus you take stuff way more literally than the artists intended (ex. "rough sex" doesn't equal abuse) so you make yourself look stupid when you say stuff like that, not the artist.
You need to get back in form. Some of your reviews are good, but others like this one just suck.

I am not of the army of Gaga, but I do enjoy the song. I am not a reader of symbolism nor a "well in the behind the scenes they said..." cultist geek. But the lyrics do paint an image pretty clearly to me (do take note I decorate my house with salvador dali and picasso posters; strange is normal for me)
The song (in the lyrics) is about abandoning friendship in favor of physical romance even though its obviously a bad idea....destroy the relationship for the romantic impulse....do you disagree?

I honestly think this video is about the industry in some way. I don't think she's trying to communicate anything. She's shallow. I just think that this whole gimmick is about how pop stars are grown in a lab, then prostituted out to the public. But then it gets confusing. Shouldn't SHE be the one that dies in the end? That would make more sense. Maybe it's saying that the industry has an agenda to KILL the audience? Either way, she is a demon from hell. No question.

No offence meant but filming yourself in the dark really does detract from an entertainment value this video might have actually had, and the only enjoyable moments were when the batshit insane music video clips actually appeared on the screen, and I'm glad they did because I was praying for something to actually happen. I'm not saying you should act like a total spaz in front of the camera, just be yourself and film in a lit room, and wear a mask if you're so afraid to show your face.
