  • No problem keeping the A/C.

In this video the A/C compressor was there , I have removed it since then ( old video from a few years back ) but this comming winter ( 2011-2012 ) I'm putting the A/C back in the car .If you look in my profile I have new videos of the car ( updated one ) .

  • Did you keep A/C? I am curious if the LT1 A/C compressor cleared everything.

  • Custom made exhaust.

  • That's definitely the cleanest sounding LT1 I've ever heard. What kind of exhaust is that?

  • What a cool street sleeper; with this cars' light weight you could probably suck the headlights out of most Mustangs & 'Vettes on the stoplight grand prix circuit..........

  • nice car good sound

  • Very nice swap. Good job!!

  • yes is fast, yes it looks great. But with the investment you made, you could of had that rotary engine running low 10's

  • haha this car is fucking sweet!

  • Rotary engine is junk. The owner of this car saved it with a V8!!

  • @Rotaryisgarbage haha, your username is Rotaryisgarbage!!! that's a dedicated hater!

  • is there a engine kit o something for this??

how hard is one of this swaps??

  • Many kits available for V8 swap in the RX7 Generation I II & III .

Do a little Google search you'll see.

It is bolt on , no welding required .

  • @mpcv2004 yeha i saw that yesterday on google seems fairly easy to do i just got a rx7 shell this is my first time with a mazda.

so the other question i been thinking about is what ecu o ecm do you use for one of this swaps, an what engine harness i couldnt find that on google yesterday

  • @MrRetrofeet

Stock GM ECU reflashed with Tuner C.A.T.S software

  • @mpcv2004 How much did you spend on your swap, not including the engine?

  • sweet as ride, I plan to convert my 88' Turbo II in the same manner, LT1 and a T56 (if I can afford it, or else a T5). Maybe later on, I'll paint mine all black and clean like this, my first T2 was black, now I have a white one and so miss the first, so hopefully I'll go back to black, and add the LT1 (now that my 13b blew up!).

  • Clean FC!! I owned an 88 T2 with a LT1 , 306 cam and 125 shot nitrous. Best on motor I could manage was a 12.56@114 and 12.2@121 on the 125 shot. Put down 330hp/335tq on motor 435/448 on spray. Its now with a good owner who is buying it nice parts!

Search my name "rifkenstein" for some cool vids! I just bought another fc with a cam only LS1 making 402rwhp lol!

  • im looking to do a swap on my fc, how difficult is it and what would i need?

  • barked in 2nd... lol clean fc

  • sounds good I like it very clean FC. Props on the sweet ride BUT the 1 thing that does kinda suck is that the LT is considerably heavier then the LS but also is cheaper lol I Have a LS2 FC but dont have any videos up yeat because well it is winter still gonna get some film when the salt is gone

  • DAMN!---you did ya thing with that swap, what kinda times are you running in the 1/4? i swapped a lt1 into my 71 caddy but she's slow as hell just sounds fast--lol

  • I just got the car last fall ( Nov 2009 ) . I may go to the track next year but I bought the car just to cruise around and have fun with it.

  • my rx7 is getting a sb soon 13b is nice 350 way better

  • Looks like a blast to drive!

  • Another RX7 Wrecked by a V8. Why dont people understand an RX7 is designed around the Rotary being mounted well back to give a perfect 50/50 weight transfer. Go on now say the usual..... rotaries go wrong, dont produce the power yeah yeah heard it all before. You just don't know how to build them

  • you should read up on some v8 builds, to my knowledge, depending on which v8 is swapped in the weight distribution isn't as negatively as many people assume. And have you ridden in one? they are a blast

  • Comment removed

  • @modularsolutions I would not remove a well running rotary just for the fact of putting a v8 in the car. The thing is alot of these that have v8 swaps done were saved from scrap since they had blown engines. These cars are nowhere new, and being there are millions of small blocks still out there and they just happen to fit great, I don't see the harm.

  • @scottyr94 I doubt anyone would just throw away a good rotary, even if the car started out running fine with the rotary, just think, that good rotary engine was sold to a rotor head whom saved another rx7 from the junkyard, no energy is lost, only transformed, hehe.
