  • @PaulSlammin okay sorry.. my mistake :)

    \m/

  • this song is not "into seasons of frost"... this is "a blood red path"

  • where can I find this album?

  • I remember the days. Are they still alive?

  • this is pretty cool =D

  • 1995/1996 was strongest point of gothenburg metal, in flames the jester race, dark tranquillity the gallery,at the gates slaughter of the soul, gates of ishtar a bloodred path and ceremonial oath carpet,my favourite albums

  • @eraser979

right man...best music ever on this damn fucking planet!

  • this is the bonus version off of the dawn of flames right?

  • dayum, they are like a mix of borknagar and catamenia haha

  • damn, i just found this band and wow, its unique

  • This was really their best album! Great stuff. like it a lot. My old band was named Seasons of Frost, but had nothing to do with this song, was a funny coincidence.

  • The Duskfall is also inactive for quite a while now :(

  • Members from GOI were also in a band called "The Everdawn", who released a couple of albums. Their sound was similar, but their major label release got mixed up in the large crowd of similar sounding gothenburg style bands of their era. From there, some members went on to be in a band called "The Duskfall", which still exists. Although I don't personally care for the duskfall, it's good to know where they came from.

  • AWESOME

  • love this album!

  • this is epic! but the vocals sound like black metal, as with a lot of melodeath bands. (not that that's a bad thing.)

  • man trust me all their stuff is fucking sick.

  • Well this along with At the Gates, (old) In Flames, (old) Soilwork was more the Gothenburg Melodeath scene, not like more recent Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth, Insomnium etc.

Wouldn't say Black vocals, but yea it's not the same deeper sounds you hear nowadays.

  • i agree. that's with a lot of old melodeath, where they don't have the deeper vocals, as you said

  • This is true Melodic Death metal!

    Yeahh!!

  • So muss guter harter Metal klingen.

  • i do not know why tha fuck the image of micheal jackson riding a moto passed trough a friends head when he heard to this song.

  • @vampiromaniac The answer is, your friend, sucks.

  • :DD

  • YES! HAIL GATES OF ISHTAR!

  • So sad they broke up... they had talent!

  • This was reccommended to me, this is awesome!!!!

  • this reminds me of Epoch of Unlight, melodic black metal

  • i meant to say Hypocrite as well, too much dope ya know.

  • my band is very influenced by this band

  • agreed mine is as well

we are also very influenced by Mork Gryning, and Massacre

  • Ishtar fans be on the lookout, Duskfall just broke up so we may be seeing either a reuinion or some kind of new project!

  • I hope so, because they're all excellent musicians.

  • Canada listens to Melodic Black Metal

this is the exact sound i was looking for im downloading all songs i can find any specifics i should look for?

  • Was this band obscure? I like the sound.

  • позитифф

  • melodic black/melodic death, this is what i like and what i'm listening to all day long

  • lapura verga

  • awesome this is the first song i've heard from this band and it's cool :D

i'm going to but songs for my i-pod what are some songs i should buy and i mean songs like 5 or more minutes or just really good songs

  • All of Bloodred path except maybe ianna(instrumental intro)

And i wanna be somebody which is a cover

  • okay thanks but idk if it will fit on my i-pod it's like like 20 mb left haha

  • yup fucking awesome

  • Never gets old, best fucking band ever!

  • been listening to this all night, love their sound

  • good band, most bands from 90s are good

  • Wow, this is one of the few black metal bands that doesn't sound like complete shit. THe intro was very melodic, you don't see that kind of stuff tooo often.

  • yeah you do... and Black Metal aint shit if u know how to listen to it... let it flow through you. Don't listen with your ears, listen with your soul.

  • yeah, plus you cant 'find' blackmetal, or force yourself to like it. it will come to you

  • i don't really like black metal either except melodic black metal because bands like dimmu borgir just annoy me so i like to listen to black metal with a little bit high tuned guitar for example yo :P i sort of like the band chthonic they got an awesome keyboard player

  • @Andrei1801 This isn't black metal.

  • @ThrashMetaltillDeth I think Gates of Ishtar has a little Black Metal influence. The blastbeats and that kind of riffs upon them never were part of the oldschool melodeath.

  • @javiikiller They have black metal influences yes, but they're a melodic death metal band.

  • @ThrashMetaltillDeth Yep, they are and they should be recognized as pioneers along with bands as Eucharist or Unanimated

  • does anyone have trail of tears online?

  • GATES OF ISHTAR DOES RULE!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the upload! This band is awesome!

  • I remember this album ! It was my favourite band ever!!!!

  • yeah!!! Gates of Ishtar fuking ruless!!!!
