  • what is holding the mags?

  • 240P So we meet again...

  • if you poliss the fed rampe it will never jame

  • WATCH MY VIDEO FOR STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DISASSEMBLE THIS GUN!!

    Disassembly of Hi-point 995 carbine

  • @kellybolin whys that?

  • If anyone wants to know how to disassemble this gun

watch my video "Disassembly of Hi-Point 995 carbine"

  • Thinking about getting the 45 carbine... have you ever had this rifle jam on you with rapid fire?

  • nice nice nice

  • ii own a hi point 9mm c9 and i love it; looking for a cheap nice stock AR just might have to check them out once again due to the lifetime no questions asked warranty; you just cant beat that deal. since it has a 10 round clip anyone know if the c9 compact 10 round clip fits inside this? that would be EPIC if i could swap between pistol and rifle with the same clip!

  • crazy kid dancing is better

  • @mdaley9 8D thats right

  • @mdaley9 even though i didnt see this video

  • I cant stand there magazines.

  • what caliber is the rifle ??? and how much does it usually run you in a store

  • @Jqblack14 that rifle is now upgraded to a highpoint 995ts. same basic gun just with a modified stock and rail system. its a 9mm carbine but they also offer .40 and .45 caliber models. i know the 995ts model costs about $249 and the others gradually get more expensive but not by much. the ammo for it is relativly cheap at about 10 bucks per 50 rounds (at least in ny) and in all honesty the gun is alot of fun to shoot.

  • The magazine holder comes from Hi-Point, I got one with 2 mags for $40 shipped for my 995. They are supposed to be coming out with a 15 rounder in January. 650 rounds through mine with no problems so far.

  • @jwash3rd This one is actually a modified buttstock rifle shell holder. Cut between two cartridge loops and it holds a mag perfectly.

  • @lbreevesii Oh, I was wondering where that last one came from.

  • @lbreevesii my UZI is better

  • @jaredleospirit This things is 300 at most, with many options and a lifetime warranty. And not all of us can afford uzis, dickhead.

  • @TheyxSeexMexTrollin it is a castrated carbine, with a measly 10 round mag, and a shitty made mag at that. I wold save 2-3 hundred more and get something with more bullets that looks better as well.

  • @jaredleospirit While i still like my cheaply made hi point, i must offer props for the "castrated carbine". Well played, good sir.

  • @jwash3rd I am thinking of getting one. What ammo do you recomend for this gun? and just wondering whats the diffrence between .45ACP and .45S&W?

  • If the magwell could be beveled, that might help the reloading speed. Looks like a tight straight in alignment is required to get the magazine loaded.

They also have a .45 caliber carbine available. Now which to choose?

  • You look like my old religion teacher looool.

    Great video.

  • @tuffguyxxx

Maybe your magazine isn't up to par, have you tried getting a new mag?

  • @darrylhaynes

You are a victim waiting to happen.

  • This gun looks like the guns they used in planet of the apes....Coincidence? I think not. "Cornelius, bring me muh Hi Point an a bucket o' chiggin!"

  • @tuffguyxxx inner feed lips on your magazine might be out of tolerance. go to the hi point firearms forum and they have a guide to check to see if your magazine is the problem

  • Scope on a Hi-point? Seems a bit optimistic.

  • there is pro mar extended 15r

  • nice

  • wow! thats all im gonna say! not really but i cant blame u i just blame hi-point! they were smoking some serious shit when they design all their firearms! .45acp and 5.56mm are the way to go the occasional 7.62x51 is good but fuck 7.62x39mm! AK74 is the way to go i have my vids and dont even tell me you were accurate with any of those rounds! get an actual carbine or atleast an AR15 in 9mm Luger! no i take that back its an actual rifle get it in no smaller than40s&w.

  • extended magazine for this rifle? 10 rounds aint enough!

  • @th3planetsghost I wish there was :-(

  • @lbreevesii there is they have a 15 round magazine also available with the 9mm version of this riffle, iam looking at getting the .40 cal version as yours, still on the fence about it though have you had any jamming issues with it so far?

  • @lbreevesii

    promag makes 15rd

  • Promag 15 round mag on cheaper than dirt...

  • There is a 15 round extended clip that's molded for the "stock" stock... I had one and 15 still isn't enough!

  • @Drakon322 If you need more than 15 or even 10 rounds maybe you should just run instead of shooting.

  • @Drakon322 I think that's only for the 9mm carbine. I don't think anything above a 8-10 round mag is made for any other caliber. If there is tell me cause the 40. carbine mags will work in the pistol also and I've been looking for a lil over a year. I've got 4 ten round mags, would love an extended mag. Hi point refuses to make them.

  • @lbreevesii I know what you mean. I have a Hi-Point 995TS. 10 rounds is nice, but it just aint enough :( If i find any extended mags online or anything ill let you know.

  • @lbreevesii where did u get your magazine holder the one tht attaches them to the stock

  • @lbreevesii Are you bump firing that cabine? didnt even look like your were pullin the trigger, nice fast controlled shooting man.

  • @4624tone Haha nope. Trigger is too heavy and short to bump one of these things. I've tried!

  • @lbreevesii Funny you say that, just watched reviews of c-9, and trigger was 1lb-11/2lbs. heavier than others, i dont mind a crisp pull, 71/2(c9) may be much, see if maybe i can mess with one thou, get it under 7lbs, would have look inside one. thanks, keep on shooting!

  • @lbreevesii Watch video' hi-point 9mm carbine rapid fire' he bumps his very well, maybe he can tell you what he had to do, just a thought a friend.

  • @th3planetsghost YES YES YES

  • @2000SEABEE and what is the name and make of this extended magazine for the high point?

  • you should practice changing mags without having to look. Never lose sight of your adversary!

  • My hi point rifle has been 100% reliable but the experience i have with there pistols is not so good. I have a video up now 11 yr old shooting at the range with a hi point jamming constantly. Thankyou for sharing good video

  • Not to just blindly defend the hardware, but its entirely possible that a lot of those issues are caused by limp wristing. It can be a slightly tough to handle these things for weaker shooters due to the weight of the slide.

  • The father of the lad is shooting the pistol he s a strong guy the pistol has always been unreliable i sold it to him lol

  • go figure. I know sometimes the 9mm feed lips can need to be tweaked, might be the issue.

  • strange tho that my 9mm carbine has never missed a beat even with a suppressor!

  • Yeah, I own a Hi-Point in each caliber, and the larger the bullet, the bigger the gun, and the heavier the slide. That being the case, it would be hard for smaller people to shoot it easily. Great weapons for the price, just damn heavy.

  • @GT03235 limp wristing is usually the culprit with Hi point hand guns

  • @Proedge352 whatever lol

  • @GT03235 besides they have a lifetime warranty , If you ever think somethings wrong with your hi point firearm you send it back , not rocket science , you just have to be smarter than what came out of your ass this morning . lol

  • @Proedge352 lol strange yoiu say that a high point dropped out of it this morning. I'll post a video soon

  • @GT03235 Im waiting ...

  • @Proedge352 up and posted its called how to improve your hi point pistol check it out

  • @GT03235 no such video . your a bit of a liar fella

  • @Proedge352 listen you fucking moron before you call me a liar do more than sit round with your cock in your hand and actually look! its called

improving your hi-point pistol.wmv i only posted it 2 days ago

  • @GT03235 you said you had a video of you shitting one out . That was just showing everyone you look like a fatass Bozo the clown minus the red hair . Ill tell you what if hi-point is such a worthless gun come break into my house while im in bed sleeping and we can judge from the outcome or better yet get another Hi-point and chamber a round then put it to your head and pull the trigger , It wont do anything right ?no big deal. I shoot my cf380 and hit my mark 9 out of 10 times . sorry u cant...

  • @Proedge352 lol

  • @GT03235 My brother had a High Point .380 and had feeding issues. He got rid of it.

I have a 9mm High Point carbine and no issues.

  • @GT03235 I agree with the lbreevesii guy, limp wristing is a major factor, you gotta squeeze that puppy and pull correctly. Also, I don't reccommend using ammo that isn't grain specific for that particular model. Believe it or not, your ammunition might be the problem. The original clips that came with the hi-points might have been duds too.

  • @TheGreenPlague limp wristing bollox

  • @GT03235 maybe so, but the fact is people under-compensate for compact fire-arms, assuming there's less to the kick.

  • I've seen them jam at various ranges where I live, and read about the many problems with them on the numerous gun blogs I frequent. Since I didn't mention any brand names of the handguns I own, I don't believe this to be purposeful snobbery. Firearms, as with many other things in life, price usually dictates performance. You get what you pay for.

  • Like I said before it was deleted, the carbines are ok, but Highpoint pistols are garbage.

  • Nothing personal, but I deleted trying to clean up the garbage comments a bit. I'm not a big fan of the pistols, but back up your claims that they're junk or don't comment about it. I've never seen one fail myself. Have you? I hear too much gun snobbery to want to listen to this kind of stuff.

  • exactly, i love the pistols too, i have had my 9mm for a while now and it has only jammed one time

  • Yeah but they do have an lifetime warranty I heard if they jam you just send them back and they change the slide and the problem is solved. I have also heard the 9mm are less likely to jam than a 45. or a 40. never heard anything about the 380s though. Im thinking about getting a 9mm pistol. and probably a carbine down the road maybe a 45. or the new 40. when they come out? anybody got any suggestions for me?

  • @youpeople1111

Get a better pistol. A pistol is your back up weapon and you always want that to function properly. I have a 9mm Carbine and it loved it, till the trigger broke. I dont have the papers so i cant send it back. BUT, i think its an easy fix, i have not looked at it for years. I got it when i was a younger teen about 13 years ago lol.

  • Pretty good-especially for a lefty.I hope their new style .40 comes out soon.I hope thier .40 and .45 are 10 shot also.I like the looks better now.

  • Wow a Hipoint that didn't jam- miracles do happen!

  • up yours....I love mine!

  • FTF or FTE may also be caused by low recoiling ammo. I suggest that different ammo be used, such as Corbon which is a high velocity load and will generate more energy.

  • My son and I have two 995 carbines, the newest model, TS I think. What a great target/range gun for $220. Shoot crap ammo out of it all day. 9mm Blazer ammo $9.59 here. $7.99 a year ago.

  • they are good guns and a real cheap price i got mine back in 1999 for $200.00 not a big hi-point fan but they are coming a long way i heard there hand guns have improved

  • Yep. I have .45 ACP Hi Point. As a gun enthusiast, I was hesitant to buy a cheap gun. But, with a no-questions-asked lifetime warranty, and because it's one of the few guns 100% USA made with 100% USA parts, I decided to get one. I love it so far; in fact, I'm heading to the range with it tomorrow.

  • Bought one at the pawn shop for $150 Best damn deal I ever made....deadly accurate, 40 cal ammo is available everywhere......downside is I cant get the nice aftermarket stock like for the 9MM

  • @GrandAwakening I am thinking of getting one. What ammo do you recomend for this gun? and just wondering whats the diffrence between .45ACP and .45S&W?

  • Comment removed

  • Wasn't this one of the weapons used by the Columbine shooters? I remember seeing it on the news.

  • um no

  • Yeah it was.

  • Nope.

  • yep.

  • yes

  • hells yea!! im gettin a ati stock when i get one

  • I am buying one of these things for sure.

  • Nice shooting and video!

  • whats the difference between the 4095 and the 9 95??? im about to buy a 995 tommorrow at the gun show but i havnt heard of the 4095 is it something io should look into?

  • 995 is the 9mm carbine, 4095 is the .40 S&W version. The 995 is much more common.

  • if your only 17 how did you buy a handgun? I don't think your telling us everything..If somebody bought you that gun its illegal kiddo..the kind of illegal people go to prison for century(10 years)

  • a century is 100 years you fucking idiot

  • @goliathordavid LOL! Who said otherwise?

  • ahahhahahaa XD century = 100 yrs

  • or get a 40 round clip

  • dont make anything above a 10 for that gun im pretty sure if they do i hope to find it soon the 10 rounds doesent go very far ;)

  • What's the effective range for one of these things? I've never fired a rifle that shoots pistol calibers

  • I don't think I would try to put anything down past 100 yards That isn't to say you couldn't reach out to 200, I just don't know how the velocity would be. At 100 yards it will easily hold shots into COM or less. I don't really shoot it at that range very often though.

  • Yup, its a rifle so you can buy it if you are 18 and up. The whole ammo thing is state law.

  • you can buy the carbine man i just bought one and im 19.....the bullets are a diffrent story though

  • Umm no. that really wasn't even that quick...

  • Idiot.

  • I want to buy a hi point... but It is illegal for me to buy a 9mm bullets because I'm 18. my friend told me that It's legal to buy It. I really don't know... I'm so confused!!

  • Where are you from? Most states(to my knowledge) will let you buy any ammo you want as long as you are 18. This probably isn't true in some leftist states. BTW though, wal-mart has a policy of requiring you to be 21 to buy anything(everywhere). This is wal-mart policy, not state law.

  • I'm from Ohio.. oh, yeah! now I remember... I saw It on Walmart when I bought a 410 GA shells. Thanks!!!

  • actually you can buy rifle and shotgun ammo if you are 18 any handgun ammo you have to be 21 and since 9mm is considered handgun ammo he wouldnt be able to buy it

  • In ohio maybe. In NC its just a wal-mart rule. Most real shops don't give a damn either way.

  • Haha! Way to show em lbreevesii . HPFF FO LIFE! -Jones

  • You defenetely need to get the ATI stock for that. With a little dremel work it fits great. for a 200$ beater gun these things really do kick ass. The only problem I've ever had was the damn small cap mags. should at least be 20 rounders. You have to admit it though if you had the choice between a cx4 and a HPcarbine(If someone was given it to you) I think we would all go for the Berreta. I know I would.

  • i would buy qny gun before i would buy a fuckin hi point.

  • shit you cant find these for 200 anymore try 300-350.

  • whats on the stock holding the clips?

  • I love that shit eating grin you have at the end, like you really did something. Instead of shooting the Hi-Point, shoot AT the Hi-Point. It's alot more fun, and you have a lesser chance of geting killed or permanantly disfigured.

  • Quit being a faggot gun snob and go put some fresh gauze on those fingers you blew off with your Glock .40. This little 4095 has been a great goof off range and groundhog gun over the 4 years I have had it. Never jams, never fails. It has had a better record than my XD45, and I have equivalent rounds through each.

  • Glock. I wouldn't own a Glock either. Hence the XD in my S/N. Better record than the XD45? I doubt that.

  • I figured, but I couldnt help making the glock joke at your snobby ass. Barring ammo and mod related failures from the XDs record, these two guns are on par with reliability when in my hands. Some inexperienced shooters have had limp wristing problems with the XD, but thats just them and the ammo. To even the score, I had one bullet type/brand that the 4095 didnt like, but never ever a FTF.

  • you're a fucking idiot. if hi points suck so bad then why are you watching a vid on it?

  • lol yea come to think about it, I've had better experience with my 995 then with a XD9mm. Don't get me wrong, it is a good pistol but it sometimes would misfeed or the slide would be out of battery when it closed.

  • Yup hi-point is such a POS that NO ONE in Houston can keep them in stock.. According to Jim Pruett, they are the most asked about fire arm in his store.

  • i am with you man i rather pay the money and get a good gun before id buy a cheap peace of shit like those hipoints.

  • Just a quick point, I realize you're shooting lefty but it seems awfully inefficient to have to charge the bolt with your left hand if it's doing pistol grip duty...have you ever tried shooting right handed and seeing how you did?

  • can't do it. too hardcore lefty. With my current reflex sight I can drop the slide with my right hand but its not too comfortable.

  • what in the fuck?

  • right on, right on!

  • i thinking about getting the 995 highpoint this weekend at the gun show but i hear the have problem some time can u tell me your review on the gun also watch someof my videos

  • the only problem is that hi points need alil extra only than most guns...my opinion atleast. I own the hi point 40 S&W Carbine...if i would have known that the aftermarket stock would only be made for the 9mm i would have gotten the 9mm...all around its a decent weapon to go to the range with to plink things...if you plan on using it for more than that go with something better

  • So how much you pay for that? And when?

How much would it cost now?

  • Well my way of thinking is that the 9mm is essentialy about a 35 cal. It ought to do better at 3oo yards than it has especially out of a long barreled tube like the high point carbine has.Switching to + p loads might help or maybee the rifling twist is all wrong for long range shooting. In any event is a rebarreling is in order he needs to get it done before deer season

  • the real problem is the velocity and ballistic coefficient. These pistol rounds just aren't going to do much at those ranges. At 100 yards these carbines do real well though.

  • It's a heavy bullet (relatively...especially in 40) basically designed for <50 yds, effectively extended to 100 by the rifle...you're dreaming if you think you can hit anything past 120-150. Why are you going to rebarrel a $200 gun anyway? It's not ethical to shoot animals that you can't guarantee dead.

  • I hope you didnt take that serious! I admit to having a few beers and being in a somewhat mischevious mood when i wrote that. I would take a shot on a deer at 50 yds with a 9mm if i thought it was a sure thing and i had the proper bullets. You know probably more deer are poached here in the US with 22 mag rifles than are killed in regular deer season and a 9mm ought to do at least as well as a 22 mag at 50 yds.

  • seem to be range issues here. One buddy of mine said he had trouble hitting targets on the 300 yd range when the wind kicked up.Never the less other reports seem to be positive and i plan to go look at one at our local gunshop.

  • Are you saying he was having issues hitting targets at 300yds with a 4095? Or are you making reference to the range i'm shootin at? If the former: welll yeahhh its a .40, not a rifle. lol. Kinda worthelss at that range anyway. latter: crosswinds are an issue up in the high country.

  • They don't look that retarded, if they cost $1000 you'd probably say they look cool

  • i own one...it is kinda ugly but it grows on you lol. well worth the 168 bucks i gave for it though

  • Question: this is a rifle so the age is 18 to buy?

Question: do you think it's better to get the 9mm version with ammo prices so high?

  • Yup its classified as a rifle, so you can buy it at 18.

And yes, despite strong preference for .40 over 9mm from a cartridge standpoint I would choose the 9mm due to ammo costs.

  • Great demonstration -

I don't know about the hi-point handguns, but I just fired my 995 carbine for the first time today - I put 200 rounds through it and didn't have a single jam - It is a great firearm for the $189.00 I spent - No regrets.

  • thats the gun that eric harris used to shoot up his high school.. columbine

  • two things.

    1. He used the 9mm version of the hi-point carbine, this is the .40 S&W.

    2. just to clarify, it is one of the several guns used in that tragic event.

  • finaly, somebody who is knoledged about wold events,

  • We can't blame guns for the lunacy of a few.

    Mind you,

I'm NOT saying you did sir, nor did you even imply such.

It could have just as easily been a Ruger ranch rifle.

I have owned a few Hi point firearms, all were outstandingly reliable, I did have a magizine spring go bad on a standard 9MM H-P, not the spring that pushes the follower up, I mean the spring that actually locks the magizine in place.

They evidently aren't made for tactical reloading motions.

    Otherwise, fine guns.

    R

  • Your mom has told me the same thing about you several times.

Who cares what it looks like, it works damn well.

  • performance of prettiness every time =)

  • Hi-Points are a LOT of bang for the buck. I suppose some people have has less-than-great experiences with them, but I know people that have had high dollar pistols malfunction as well. I especially like the carbine. A great little reliable, accurate,'trunk gun'. I'd reccommend trying one. Hey, the garantee will be honored if you DO have isssues with it. You can't lose. I'd stay away from handloads unless you're good at loading. Use Wal-Mart Winchester white box. Have fun!

  • I used to shoot nothing but blazer and WWB in my carbine, but since I picked up handloading thats all I shoot. I'm working towards 1500-1800 handloads shot through it. I tend to use a nice mild load with heavy grain bullets.

  • Interesting, and good to know. Have you found any bullets that cause feeding problems ( JHP's, unjacketed, etc)? I haven't tried any reloads myself. I don't trust me. lol

  • I'm not sure what they were, but I bought one batch of flat points at weidners that didn't feed well. It could have been a combo of the shape and seating depth though. Virtually any of the ranier plated bullets i've tried feed perfectly, as do the Hornady XTP's.

  • my next purchase right there, nice shootin looks like fun

  • Just to let you know, these things are hit n miss. All very accurate but some jam like crazy.

  • Impressive shooting brother!!! Makes me miss my old 995.

    Keep up the good work

    -Neo

  • I love my 995... it shoots right on the money. It is even better with a nice red dot...

  • I recommend the ATI replacement stock for the Hi-Point 9mm carbine. It's sturdier and ups the cool-factor. As for jamming issues, I have run about 300 rounds so far and so far no jams. The after-market 15 rndr mags are junk and will misfeed!!! Stay away.

  • ^ all true.

btw, just my experience but mastercraft 155grn fmj's don't feed too well(they're slant side, flat point). Not sure if its the angle or the seating depth i'm using.

  • I've run golden sabre jhp, winchester sxt, and s&b, silverbear, goldenbear, winchester white box fmj's through it w/o problems. I hear that cci shotshells are problematic though.

  • How are you holding the extra mags? i can't tell what, if any, kind of butt stock mag pouch you have on there...

  • Anchient chineze secret!

Actually its a modified "allen" brand rifle shell holder. Split the seam between two shell holders and it holds the mags quite well.

  • Ok, thanks m8.

  • I just heard the other day, Tapco is considering making a good quality 995 mag! There is a thread concerning the possibility on the sksboards website in the tapco forum.
