We're NOT a democracy, and we should not be a democracy. Democracy will ALWAYS be a failed system. We are a REPUBLIC. Simply put, a democracy is rule of the majority. A republic is rule of LAW.
It was about NOT debasing our currency and NOT rewarding bad behavior.
It was about Gov't not taking central control of ALL financial activity and ENDING capitalism in America, Comrade! It was Barny Fwank's easy credit scheme so anyone who could fog a mirror, but not keep a job could buy a home that caused the mortgage speculation and housing bubble!
People have every right to be pissed off over this crap. The government has come accross like it all happened overnight. Wer'e supposed to shell out $700 billion at the drop of a hat and expect a bill written over an emergency weekend session will cover all aspects of such a collosial giveaway?
