I've been vegan since 1984 for the animals' sake, but vegetarian since 1979 to reduce resource consumption. I still have no clear estimate on how much farmland it takes to feed 1 vegan person (soybeans, legumes for protein) per year. Now with declining oil and global warming, we've got even more concerns.

@mphello It's matters of feet to feed a human regardless of diet and many of the acres are just classified as agricultural land it doesn't mean they produce anything (greenbelt or agricultural subsidized land are major examples of this) or if they do if it's actually used to feed people or animals (tree farms are major examples of this).

Declining oil was so 1970's big oil bs we got plenty,it's just simple supply and demand the oil companies have the supply and they demand you pay more.

@D8W2P4 Geologists know otherwise. Actually, the oil companies know we are 5 years past peak oil and now on the decline. We should have made the switch 20+ years ago and outlawed gas cars back then. We knew this day would come. I've done my part (not reproduce, vegan), but I can't build my own car (no tools, no space, no money).

You run that thing in 4wd all the time, atleast it sure sounds like it. If you get that thing in 2wd it'll go faster. I know that my Kubota RTV 900 goes about 5 MPH faster in 2WD.
