She landed some seriously good shots and was on top for a lot of that. Not to mention that fight was unneccesarily stopped at the end of the round. She could have won if she didn't stupidly give up the full guard ground and pound position. At the very least it would have bought her a little more time and there would have been a round 2. Watch the fight again it wasn't so one sided and at times cyborg was backing up.

Yeah, I agree... It just looked so one sided because of the very last 3 or 4 seconds... other than that, it was quite even... And if Gina didn't make 3 major mistakes, like stay on top, it would have been a different fight altogether... I think people will be surprised at the rematch! I am sure Gina has learned a lot from that fight and will come out with a new attitude!

You don't know who will win in a real fight where there is NO money, no referee, no judge,no crowd, no hype. Trying to use a submission lock in a cement ground with an opponent who uses a rock or stick would counter that submission. In any sport a round, technical, quarter or half time break can upside down the final result. Referee should have let that second to go. If Gina can't compete her officials could observe her and take that decision. We all know Gina can be lethal in the last rounds of fights. Gina could have come back with a different tactic and won the fight. So still she's the unofficial champion to me.

I Wonder if they will use any Sabaki and Peek a boo boxing techniques during the fight ? Tyson used it (PABB as taught by Cus d'amato, I believe) & became famous for his quick knockouts. Sabaki to close the distance, then PABB to execute a grab & takedown from the side (Like Batmans fighting technique in "Batman begins" ), then use a submission (transition to submision) . They may have to watch out for round houses though (catch & takeD) and try not to hurt each other (only a sporting contest).
