Picking the Right Hair Color : Matching Hair Color to Skin Tone

If anyone knows anything about this please answer the following!:

I have pale skin with a yellow tone, but I'm pretty much just white. I have naturally jet black hair and DARK hazel eyes. I'm getting sick of my jet black hair because I always feel so neutral. I was thinking about getting a light brown with blonde highlights, will that be okay?

@breanneopolis Any color that does not have Gold or copper undertones. Blacks; JET, for yellow toned skin. SOFT, for pinky tones. Reds: GARNET, or BURGUNDY(what I am now), on any skin tone. Browns: Dark is they way to go with brown, it doesn't really matter what tone but medium browns aren't that great...It's my natural color >.< Blondes; Platinum(<3) or ash, I recommend getting chunky highlights of ash if that is what you want to go for, you can put a tone over it so it's not too high matenice.
