Damian Green is a treacherous bullshitter. The worst ever record on immigration and he still claims to be succeeding in the short term? What an odious cretin.
The truth is that it doesn't pay enough. The guy in the workshop or the BBC don't let on how much you get paid for working in a workshop these days. 50 years ago, a man could work in a workshop and pay to support his wife and 2 kids and pay a mortgage. Today, what you get paid there will barely support yourself. This is why immigrants who come here to build a nest egg and go home are the only ones who will do these jobs. Our economy has been structurally built on cheap inputs.
I've been trying to get into a trade or skilled manufacturing job for 6 years. I can't work in the service sector despite trying on a number of occasions as dealing with the public causes me to have severe panic attacks for years I've had problems with this. So due to the lack of jobs or options outside service, I was put on incapacity benefit! If there were more jobs (indeed, any jobs) outside f*cking service I wouldn't have had a problem. I'm a guy who would take a manufacturing job tomorrow!
My high schools design technology department was sort of cast off at the side with shite equipment and sort of just a storage space. Thats where we should invest as appose to investing in sociology suites and textbooks.
The problem is boys in schools are being taught cheap and girly subjects, nothing interesting or "dangerous" and expensive like metal work. Boys don't know how to use a lathe, can't weld, but can tell you all the pc crap about "citizenship".
@liarpoliticians The problem is, by the time you are old enough to understand what sort of skills will get you work, you have already left education and are in the jobs market.
And who wants to go back to education with £9000 per year fees?
Green should be hanged at traitors gate. CUNT.

Labour did the damage over 12 years. It was deliberate and planned.
It would take radical action to right labour wrongs, something that the current government is utterly incapable of.

To be fair, the government can't be expected to reverse 12 yrs of Labour open immigration policy. They structurally changed the UK labour market.
