  • If you guys wants updates on up and coming projects from the sylvers, go like their offical page on facebook and join their message board at yahoo groups...

  • Kashif's sound, whether he worked within the Mighty M Productions company or by himself, was characterized by a clever mix of the soul and R&B emphasizing much on slick guitar and synth grooves and a clear extension of the hypnotic SOLAR sound of Leon F. Sylvers III. In 82 he produced and wrote the smash hit "So fine" with Howard Johnsons, in 83 executive produced Kenny G:s album "G-force", wrote "Love come down"(1982), Evelyn King, all artist that Leon was working with at the time! (1984)

  • is foster on lead on this one?

  • @jayamaw

    No, James is (I think)!

  • I still have this LP and I loved the hell out of this track !!!

  • @jaydee620...I agree thisalbum was far underrated...in my opinion, a great masterpiece ,...oneof my favorites during my high school and college years..but of course being a Sylvers Fan. every thing that they created was a masterpeice...I'm just saying !! :)

  • This was an under rated album

  • And you can hear that CLASSIC Sylvers Harmony on this.

  • Mstexas73 My brother has this album & would break my hands if i touch it!!! I have friends who are well know dj's in the n.y. n.j. area who could copy this from vinyl to cd for me the only problem is paying my brother the correct funds to borrow his vinyl!!! lol Peace

  • I only have it on lp also...one day I will get mine copied to mp3.

  • One of my favorite songs on the album...I like that whole side 1 actually.

  • Listen with a lotta help from KASHIF and Company

  • @RomeTRocK No! that's incorrect! Leon, James and Foster produced this album! Kashif had nothing to do with this...at all! Know your music and get the facts! MUZK360!

  • @muzk360 How is that for getting it straight!! Listen to the music man!

  • @RomeTRocK No that's incorrect! This was LEON,JAMES and FOSTER! No Kashif!. The Sylvers were great producers, they didn't need help from anyone!.................Get you facts straight!

  • I would rather say it was one of these good old Simmons electronic drums; (no way to confirm,though...)

  • @potrezaml I played with Oberheim DMX samples + effects the other day and got it to sound pretty close, so I'm thinking it's the DMX. The Simmons modules never had as 'full' of a sound as these (Simmons examples = Baltimora - Tarzan Boy, Laura Branigan - Self Control).

  • what drum machine is used in this... Oberheim DMX with some reverb?

  • big tune!!!!

  • Dang I wish I could find this lp on cd on like ebay or something.

  • HEY!!! *ISIS bops in chair!*

  • Ms. texas, This is Croon3. Are you currently in Texas? If so, where? The reason is that I'm in Irving Tx.So hit me back and let me know

    Stay Blessed

    Croon3.

  • Hi there...No I'm not from Texas...My screen name is me paying homage to my favorite character on the show Dallas. *Sue Ellen...she was a former Miss Texas*

  • Interesting because i went to college in Weatherford Tx. and J.R. is from there and he would come home for holidays in the early 80's to see his mom and he would come to my b-ball games at the college.

  • His father lived in Weatherford. Yes he's a texas boy at heart. IN his book he speaks of his time there in great detail.

  • Listen to that sound!!! The Sylvers had it going on for real.
