  • i see a future where japanese warlords will start employing robot spyfish in each others koi ponds lol wouldnt that be some tite shyt

  • robocarp.co.uk

  • thumbs up if that thing is creepy

  • No, that's a robot koi right?

  • very good ... See also: NEWEST ROBOT THAT WALK ON WATER

  • MHD in water, that fish maybe fool public

  • Some shark will come along and you can say goodbye to 256k

  • the fuck is wrong with that dudes accent... its not rawbut.... its robot...

  • 0:37 for two seconds...

    LOL

  • i´d take this camera fish next to the nudist beach ......:)

  • so true :P

  • 甘いようなロボットがあったらいいのになあと思うよ!

  • and of course they would have to make it look like a Koi fish lol

  • $256,000???? Ouch...

  • and thats us dollars. imagine canadian dollars

  • jap-australian accent ???

  • Is that a japanese-american accent

  • i'm sure well break that peace of crap 260 thousand dollar well be in the trash

  • Asian Tech scares meh... why are we focusing on the middle east

  • Sushi!

  • 256K USD??? Talk about a lot of fat. The UK team made one for 20K. The cost of experiments is amazing these days.

  • ...lets be friends with the guys who can make a swimming bomb!

  • god dam it, what will them Asians think of next!

  • Cool!! I love them sort of fish.

  • "a carp robot went for swim" hahaha classic

  • What if a bigger fish eat it in the ocean?

  • uhhh... it will taste bad?

  • ya robo sushi

  • Now we are no longer safe in the oceans.

  • Meh Soon there will be Gay robots to

  • haha

  • use this to find the lochness monster do it!

  • that would be awsome!!!

  • im not impressed. Give it some rudimentary form of intelligence and a digestion system that allows it to eat other fish to sustain power. Then we're talking awesome. Still pointless but awesome.

  • it would be great to have a pond with robotic fish

  • ya no cleaning

  • My own Koi...yeah that's what I want! I want it Now...such cute face this has.

  • Who want a robot fish? I mean c'mon you can do better and that.....

  • they didnt care to give it to some AMERICAN LAZY GUY that will just treat it as badly as a TOY!Didnt you hear that he said he'll use it underwater one day?

  • to find different species of fish we have never seen before

  • Neat, but it's not the only robo fish out there.

  • No. your way of thinking is too shortsighted. The basic technologies included in this have many future possibilities that can be developed into another applied areas.

  • Dude! Now the robots will take over all public pools! Do you really want that? Huh? Huh, people. No more diving boards, water slides, or Marco Polo games!! Mark my words, robocarp will take over the world's public pool areas including two privately owned hot pools. (I'm kidding!!)

  • in reply to hardbrainer....I think the fact of it costing over 1/4 million dollars is reason enough for the U.S. government to strap bombs or missles to it, they've blown our taxes on even dumber shit in the past.

  • I want it..

  • Too bad....For you!

  • Its cool, and moves like a real carp, but what a waste of fúcking money!

  • not really...becuase it we happen to have enemies who have forts, bases, or headquarters at a shore it is possible that we could send these with explosives disguised as fish instead of missiles which can easily be detected

  • No, not a waste. That my freind is the future. That robocarp can really be helpful in future under water research. There's no doubt that the millitary can use this technology for the navy. It just shows you what is possible with robotics today. Now just imagine 30 years from now. Life size Robo-whale.

  • You are a waste of fucking SPACE!

  • I was replying to that other guy.

  • this is so much better than the robo shark

  • lovely.

wil robots ever be able to wrok on their own like though? like properly

  • Pentagon would love to see this ... or underwater rescue.

  • i hope it doesnt poop batterys lol

    just kidding

    its cool looking

  • actually, there is a coldfusionish like device that is capable of producing excess energy(not in huge sums of course) but probably enough to run that, from simple tap water. there is a video on youtube even.

  • OOOH that is so cool! It's sad how people don't realize that we waste energy all the time, and most of the people who do don't care!!! SO SAD! Okay I'm done now.

  • We do not need a robot fish. It's cool and I want one. But we really don't need one

  • and we have to wait another few decade until they can create a real robot like gundam or patlabor

  • now all we need to do is equip them with nuclear bombs and have them blow up major ports and submarines

  • The face ruins it all, it looks like its ready to give a bj-_-

  • it s so cute looking!!

  • you think so? with its cold dead black eyes, those lifeless eyes an that un-natural colour?

  • if it was in the ocean , how would it charge itself , solar wouldnt work very well if its diving to great depths

  • All Your Fish Are Belong To Us!!!

  • ahaha!

  • I have one very reasonable thing to say:

    The Titanic didnt sink.

    Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked it.

  • it's cute. pfft.

  • Robot fishes today, automatic guided torpedos patrolling sea borders tommorow.

  • It propably doesn't have a camera. o.o

    Think of all the opportunities!

  • Hammacher Schlemmer ( www.hammacher.com ) has a Robot Shark that swims in water.... Granted, it's remote-controlled, but it's yours for a mere $99 US!! :) \m/

  • Skynet has been re-launched by the Japanese.. hurry John Connor.

  • wtf is with japans and gundams?

  • that has to be the most trivial and high costly 'friendly' robot i have seen. what are they thinking. maybe they should be more concerned with the coming up of cures for some really bad diseases.

  • the next version is ocean going used for nonintrusive enviromental studies (now there's a waste of money)

  • The first mini-cooper cost a million pounds, the millionth cost a penny. This will be easily mass producable for military and security use within time.

  • You guys need to look at the bigger picture, that thing is the first of its kind. What are the possibilities the Japanese are opening up to themselves by attaining this level of achievement in robotics.

Imagine the same concept applied into military uses. The money they blew into the robot carp is well worth every cent imo.

  • yea fuck that..250 grand id buy a few cars not a remote fish

  • i hope it´s waterproof >_<

  • I need Lottery and I can buy it

  • good public speaker that last guy. "Aaanoooooooooooooooo."

    Translated "UUummmmmmmmm"

That's a neat robot fish but a huge waste of money. At least it has pretty colours. In Australia, we kill carp for existing.

  • He wants to put the shit in the ocean??? oh yea real smart even if it would video stuff...lets see if a damn shark cares about 256,000 bucks.

  • "A carp roh baht" LMAO

That accent is so messed up, it's probably an expensive "rob buht" of the past xD

Wow, that's what I call a waste of money. Seriously.

  • I wish i could eat it with fren fries

  • sooo, besides the over rate on the money, this fish is quite usefull in underwater combat, with the fact that its got a camera, if this had a tracking device in it, it can be turned into a robotic spying machine

    O_O

  • Hmm it makes me sleep better that knowing people are spending money inventing things that seem otherwise useless and fun than inventing things that commit murder.

I think its a much better investment.

Japan has had its fare share of killing people, I'm really glad theyre putting theyre brains to some real use now.

  • hmm... wonder how does it taste?

  • ...Okay, this is getting out of hand.

So,lets just take a minute and think about this...

    ... SO then...

    ..$256,000 = robot fish.

    ...

    yep.

  • Whats a cop rah-baht? I want one. I would start a website called Cop rah-baht vision, and I would put it in public pools and beaches and record all the butts. Don't act like that creepy old japanese man wasn't thinking of that all along. Because he was.

  • that's actually pretty cool. i want one with a camera x)

  • that's the weirdest 'english' accent i've ever heard x.x he sounds like he's trying to swallow an entire lemon as he speaks, eheh

  • That's a bit extreme, but it's true that $256,000 is quite a bit for a remote-controlled robot fish.

  • If they could be automated then they could make a robot tuna and have it swim with them in the ocean keeping a record of them. Health, spawn rates, migration, food consumption, etc. etc. It could lead to the large tuna's comming back. :)

  • thats pretty neat

  • why is it always japan that makes all these weird and wonderfu gadgets?...

  • AAAH! Freakeh. o_O And what sort of freak-o accent does the narrator have??? "A cahp rah-baht went fo swim in Hiroshima on Tooesdae." lmao.

  • lol there gunna make bunnies i bet or maybe horses O.o wait that would be wierd >< A robot horse ><

  • Is something like that the future of submarines?

  • kewl

  • WANT MORE COOL ROBOT VIDEOS? CHECK OUT WWW.ROBOTFORUMS.COM

  • Holy geez, what's next, robot snakes?

  • uhm... there actually is a robot snake... can swim too. i dont know where i saw it but its "existing"

  • Awesome, I want one! =D

  • that thing inst a robot! you control it

  • put a laser in it so you can burn people WAHAHAHAHA

  • LIKE I SAID, asian ppl fucking rule

  • WATCH MY VIDEOS AND ENJOY IT!!!

  • I love koi, and this is awesome! Its amazing how realastic its movements are.

  • looks so real

  • o my god my batteries are broken! aaaaaaahhhhhhhh...blub.....blub.....

  • a robot fish is cool but a real snail surfibg is cooler

  • WOW

  • a ferrari... or a robotic carp..... a ferrari... a robatic caarp.... decisions.. decisions...

  • go to my website isthisyou.i8.com now

  • This way 20 years from now we can be eaten by robotic sharks with laser beams attached to their heads instead of normal ones.

    ...somewhere, Dr. Evil is smiling.

  • when i'm a billionaire, i will buy 100 of these

  • $256,000 for a robot fish? Count me in. Seems like a fantastic way to spend money.

  • interesting
