Largest Manchu population is in China but their language is almost dead and they communicate mainly in Mandarin Chinese. Some of them are trying to revive it. I heard that globally Manchu is not a obsolete language yet for there are some Manchu speakers in Russia struggling to keep their language alive.

@kenonboxers i guess there's no Manchu version, they sing about father and daughter, and they're missing each other, but the real meaning is about 2 Mongols, inner and outer. inner Mongol takes a daughter's role, outer is father's. And want to unite, like a meeting... that's why we love this song that much...

manchs' mythical origin is said to be the baekdu mountain, or the changbaishan mountain (near N.Korea). the mongolians come from the vast prairies.
