  • omg i love ariels hair always have it flows so beautifully

  • Ariel has to be my favourite Disney princess ever!!! :)

  • lol i love this song :) hard to believe was written in the 1960's :P

  • i lOOOOOOOOOOVE flounder in this movie! And ariel's face's while she's wathcing are funny! ;3

  • @MarVill

What!? How CAN you like Blunder here? They totally destroyed the character in this movie. Where the guppy we all know and love? Who the h'll is this cocky bastard!?

  • @Flumong Awww... well it is true that they made Flounder a cocky s.o.b. but I like him anyway XD I like him better in this one than in the Little Mermaid 2 XS

  • @Flumong BLUNDER??? do u mean flounder??

  • @kyry6045

Ahaha, I accidently used his Swedish name x)

  • That laugh is really great! Also I like all their reactions!

  • This movie, while not as good as the first one, it is still a HUGE improvement from the second film. Second film was just crap. This one definitely looks like it could happen before the first movie.

  • Seriously sequels usually SUCK But this actually seems like something that WOULD take place before the The Little Mermaid.

  • this is bestest little mermaid movie than the other 2

  • @stacey5789

    It is.

  • @stacey5789

You, my dear Sir or Madam, does NOT have the right to own an opinion anymore |:(

  • catchy song!!

  • They need to come out with a soundtrack to this movie. It's got a few good songs.

  • what is Sinora/Senora? i dont know?

  • it's the spanish ( i think) word for lady or baby ;p

  • yeah it means lady :)

  • apparently she's my look alike :D

  • OMG I love this song!!!<3 It was in Beetle Juice!

  • this song was in "beetle juice"

  • gouldmark: Odd that it goes from being a Harry Belfonte hit, to being in a Tim Burton film regarding an undead freelance bioexocist with a perversely screwball sense of humor (whose attitude spawned a quirky 90's cartoon "continuation" in which he & his would've been severely underage bride-to-be in Lydia Deetz--gothic lover of the death stereotype with a fondness for photography--share star billing) & to being in a Disney film saga chronicalling a beloved fairy tale about a lovestruck mermaid.

  • @TherealRNO yup

  • @gouldmark: Indeed. The problem is just like most films (including prequels and sequels) and related series, consistance errors upset fans who've come accostumed to specific traits and personalities (i.e. Flounder here is more outgoing and open than his shy and fearful self in the original film & TV series), unless something bridges the gap (ex: for the Beetlejuice canon, the would-be sequel bridges the gap between the film & cartoon, explaining why Lydia and Beetlejuice become "friends").

  • @TherealRNO I love these types of comments! lol

  • lol i love ariels laugh when shes playin the maracas

  • I LOVE THIS PART OF THE MOVIE

  • couldn't agree more with you !!!!

  • i like when she said i love your club thats funny

  • i love ariels face in the beginning

    so cute

  • OMG my name sirnora but it spell different yay

  • I thought 3 was far better than 2. >_> Return to the Sea could have been good, but they made it dumb. ~_~

  • i also thought they shouldn't have used that kind of light and shadow since it looks different comparing the first movie.

  • from the ariel tv show, i thought she met flounder when they were kids, not when she met him at an older age, but ah well. at least the animation in part 3 was a little better than the 2nd, but i didn't enjoy the story in the 3rd. i didn't see part 2 either, only some pieces of it

  • flounder part: true, but there are some things all wrong XD ages for example

and Adella is not bigger as she is in the series. Also they have been writing about their personalities in childrens'books that is no longer right

  • the shows aren't offical cannon alas

  • I noticed that thing about Flounder and Ariel too. I hate continuity errors

  • @Roxanneactress what do u mean?

  • @stallben In one of the episodes of the Ariel TV show, her and Flounder met when she was a wee thing (12, I think I remember her saying), but in this movie they show them meeting when she's already about 15 or 16.

  • @Roxanneactress oh yea ok i noe wat u mean now the continuity sux if u really think about it

  • 1:26 hehe XD

  • didn't that happen in the first Little Mermaid?

  • at the beggining i think she looks really pretty..... prettier than usual anyway

  • 1:13 ahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • I had not want to rant this sequel and watched it, like I did with Little mermaid two, the one with Melody the 12 year -old. But I might want to see the whole movie with out youtube.

  • too funny XD

    Flounder-*closes Ariel's mouth* Sebastian. *grins*

  • hre hair looks so cool when it got all messed up haha. it like, floated back into place ;p

  • sebastian has such an award winning smile

    :D I love it

  • "Sebastian?"

    "Sebastian!"

    ROFL love it!

  • I love this song! Though, I liked it better when Flounder was shy and a big scaredy-cat.

  • Sebastion cracks me up in this!

    "Rock your boby child!"

    :^)

  • I don't like Flounder in this movie. I like him better with his original shy perosnality.

  • Oh, so you too like shy characters? ^_^

That's the main reason why Flounder has always been my favorite one in the first movie, plus the fact that he was like the most devoted friend one could dream to have. He still is my number one in this movie because he's cute and funny anyway, but I gotta say I agree with you. I would have preferred if they had kept him like he was and maybe introduced another character with a different personality or something, instead of changing him...

  • I admit Flounder is funny in this movie. I just like him better with his shy personality. I think it would have been better if Disney had introduced a relative of Flounder's (like a cousin) instead of changing Flounder.

  • I think that might have been better indeed... Ah well, at least he didn't lose ALL of his old personality. For instance, I like that they kept the way he stammers out excuses that make no sense when he's caught doing something he know he wasn't supposed to. I'm glad that aspect of him remained.

  • So am I. I'm glad they kept some of personality in. :)

I think Disney tried to give Flounder an outgoing personality because they also gave him an obsession with music.

  • True, maybe they thought both characteristics should go together. I think it can be a fun detail to learn that he loves music, only it could have been shown in a way that wouldn't have affected his general behavior. It's not really that I hate the idea of him becoming a little more outgoing (although I do prefer the more fearful Flounder I'm used to); it just seems weird in this prequel context. It would have seemed more logical to me if he had been slightly more timid BEFORE befriending Ariel.

  • That makes sense to me too. I don't hate the idea of Flounder being a bit more outgoing. But, in this movie, it's just like he was never shy and fearful at all. If he was slightly more outgoing, then I'd be fine with it, but he's completely outgoing here. Flounder could have just been a little bit more outgoing and still music-obsessed.

  • hehe maybe he turned into a scaredycat after hanging out with ariel and her wild adventures ^^

  • Hahaha! Yeah, Ariel's reckless ideas must have deeply traumatized him! XD

Yup... The main problem with the new Flounder is that he got too different to make it believable that the events we see in this movie really happened before the first one. In my head, he's just not the same character at all, so there are like two versions of the story that don't fit together, which makes it hard for me to consider the continuity official with the third film. It's still good, only kinda confusing...

  • There's also a continuity error. In this movie, the way Ariel and Flounder met is shown. But it was also shown how Ariel and Flounder met in The Little Mermaid TV Series episode, In Harmony.

  • I've read comments about that episode, but I only found a scene in another language. :(

But you're right, the new movie and the TV series directly exclude each other. (I guess the movie version is supposed to be the official one, but since the third doesn't exactly work with the first, we have to disregard some details in there too anyway...) :/

  • I'd like the idea of Ariel meeting some little rebel hyperactive music freak the way it happens in movie 3 if it was another character, but Flounder... I don't know. He and Ariel are such close friends, I always thought they must have grown up together, or at least known each other for more than a year (especially considering that the new Flounder isn't the kind I'd expect to become a girl's loyal confidant; now he's more the bold type likely to hang out with a bunch of daredevil guys)...

  • I love Flounder!

  • i love this movie!

  • Is that so....Hey is anyone gonna know this song was from the ending part of the movie Beetlejuice by Tim Burton?

  • yup ^^

i thought i knew that song xD

  • yep totaly knew that hehe ^_^ love it

  • in the beginning, with her hair pulled that way, ariel looks like giselle

  • lovely drawd

  • love the song, and love how she's drawn. (spelled correct?)

  • Spelled correctly.

  • i love this song :)

  • I wonder...

In The Little Mermaid and The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea and The Little Mermaid TV Series, all of the songs were original. I wonder how come all the songs in this movie aren't original. Only Athena's Song and I Remember are.

  • how funny! my name is Senora

exact how they say it oeeh love it!

  • I wonder why Ariel's lips aren't red like they are in the first movie.

  • She was a year younger than she was in the original movie. Maybe she didn't start wearing makeup yet in this one ^-^;

  • But she was also 15 in the TV series. Didn't she wear lipstick in the series?

  • gah! too young to remember XD. But im pretty sure this movie is before that too cause of the "In harmony" episode. So maybe after the movie she started getting all prettied up lol

  • Makes sense. This movie comes before everything.

  • ariel has a lot of really expressive faces in this song!! its really catchy!! =)

  • 0:49 lol She's a bit too happy ^-^;

1:13 XD Ariel's expressions are priceless in this scene

Now...I'm not sure, But for some reason around 0:32 I could of sworn I could hear the original version of this song playing. Hm, Maybe they just sang it really good ^^

  • I absaloutely ADORE Shelbow at 1:11/1:43

  • I love the music in this movie!! I really wish that there was a soundtrack!!

  • Me, too! I hope they make one soon!

  • wait sebastion was suppose to hate music

the octopus sounds like that one dude on an exteremly goffy movie

  • No; he's supposed to make sure no one plays music anymore. TRITON'S the one who hates music in this movie.

  • I don't think Triton really hates music. I think he just doesn't want to hear because it reminds him so much of Athena.

  • Good point. But he might as well hate music, because it became as taboo as humans.

  • I agree with that. But music isn't really what killed Athena, humans are. So he really shouldn't have banned the music.

  • Touche. But if he hadn't made her the music box, she wouldn't have been in the way of the ship when it crashed into the rocks.

  • That's true, but Athena's death was unexpected. I'm sure if Triton knew what was going to happen, he would have given her the music box at a later time.

  • True, but Athena should've known that Triton would've made her another one if the first one was broken/stolen.

  • Well, if she didn't do that, there would be no The Little Mermaid and The Little Mermaid: Return to the Sea.

  • Ok, you win.

  • OMG i love the part where she sees sebastion. "jump in the line rump rump wow

shake shake shake senora shake it all the time" Lol love this 1 too

  • I LOVE The Turtle (Shelbow) at 0:22 / 1:43

  • I would be freaked out if I were Ariel and saw Sebastian! Is Flounder like himself anymore? He's getting strange, but I secretly like what he's doing, anyway.

  • Why are people complaing I love this song and this one isnt half as bad as the second one that was just terrible this movie has its moments XD

  • Ariel,s mouth wide open in shock to see sebastian Priceless

  • lol, poor Sebastian! I'm surprised he didn't die of a heart attack before Melody!

  • i love this part!!
