That Sarouk rug should have been WASHED - not steam cleaned. A rug of that age, and hand woven, should not be exposed to high heat and the alkaline cleaning chemicals used for in-home carpet cleaning. What a horrible story. This gives the entire industry a bad name when there are only a few scumbags committing these kinds of crimes.
