  • AWESOME!!

  • 0:37 Epic Face!

  • Flawless beauty.

  • lol look up the lyrics

  • Um, barhocker, maybe because that IS HIM!

  • It's unbelievable how clean and pure their sound is all the time, even more so considering the speed in which they sing this. I really tried to pay attention to when they breathe, but no matter how close you listen, you cannot hear a single sound that's not part of the music itself. Not even natural lip sounds or something. Unbelievable indeed.

  • @pianopolly mm, yes, as close to perfect as it gets :-))

this one is just delightful !

  • 0:28 for music

  • Or is that the women themselves :D

  • did this song in high school and it is extremely difficult to sing. it is great fun and there are some beautiful parts. one of my favorites.

  • Great interpretation ! Interesting to work on that song...

  • We're soon going to do this with our small, not-King's-Singers-level choir.

It's going to be a nightmare.

  • brilliant. I love it. Just like chickens.

    bea

  • hAa its the wiggles!!!

    minus the asian guy

  • hAa its the wiggles!!!

  • Our Varsity Voices group is doing this song. But we're doing STAB, not Four-Part Men. But we're not going as fast as these guys are hahaha.

  • the dude all the way on the right looks like Mr.Bean

  • you know whats funny is that they're like flutes. she shortest has the highest pitch and the tallest the lowest . lol

  • @drmgrl11 made my day.

  • 1:26 what the heck

  • @drmgrl11 Paul will often give a strange look at the end of a song, especially when it's a happy one.

  • that alto FAREEAKS me out/

  • @GeeEmOh IM GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!

  • ITS MR BEAN!!!

  • the translation of the last sentence isn't "and leaves me to do whatever I want" but " and I'm taking pleasure, my dear, I cry louder than all the fowls "

  • The Alto looks like Ernie from the George Lopez show.

  • @doggydude10

    OMG - he does!

Now all he needs to do is finish singing and go "¡Ay, güey!"

  • muy bueno!!!

  • My GOD that man doing the introduction, he is excited, isn't he?

  • @spoogeworthy You have no idea how many times I rewatched this video JUST for him... Not to mention the great song but... GREAT intro!

  • My favorite metal song.

  • thumbs up if you watched this like 9 times in a row

  • he looks like mr. bean xD

  • @barhocker228 I was JUST going to say that LOL.

  • 1:26 if you're happy and you know it clap your hands XD

  • each one of these guys could have had a good career as a soloist and yet they came together for the sake of being greater than the sum of the parts. Sort of like the Dallas Mavericks. Only different :) I do like the earlier recording of this at the slower tempo un peu better, but hell, i aint gonna complain. Thanks for committing your lives to this music. Thanks for posting this.

  • David thinks about kissing Paul at 0:49

  • I love the thumbnail for this video.

  • shes my husband

    .

  • Is that Mr. Bean?!?!??!

  • omfg as a choir kid i am so blown away by they're talent. one of the recent groups of students before me performed this piece for competition and it was at least 2 times as slow and nowhere near as amazing as the kings singers. you guys are 1 of 4 groups/people who inspire me :P

  • personally, the tempo is not the greatest! Fast doesn't always means right!

  • @Mrdavidgarcia12777

I quite like it - much slower, and you lose the the way some parts are meant to sound like clucking hens. :)

  • Omg I finally found this!!!! Love this piece!

  • Holy crap! my chior is doing this..... too many people to do it that fast though.

  • 5 people are tone deaf:)

  • just did this song in our hs choir! =)

  • This makes me so happy! Haha

  • this...is....amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love the way he say "il est bel et bon" at the start au the movie

  • Comment removed

  • Vive Dumbo le triso !!!!!!

  • Niesamowite!!!!

  • I know this piece is remarkable because of the technique required... However I just can not get over the beauty of their tones. Amazing.

  • the guy who sings bass looks like Mr. Bean xDD

  • @sethriogrande107 He reminds me of Big from Sex and the City :P

  • Amazing! Best version I've seen.

  • Too fast.

  • Well, we now know where beat-boxing comes from. All joking aside, very well done of a hard piece; props to the King's Singers!! (Although work on the faces, you're scaring the little ones!)

  • I disagree. This is a madrigal, not a race; this tempo is a show-off tempo, not one that is compatible with stylistic considerations of the time or genre. The present King's Singers could take a lesson from the recordings of the original King's Singers whose style, cohesive sound, vowel alignment, timbre, and blend are incomparable. The original's recording of this piece is exquisite.

  • the best execution on youtube

  • lovelovelovelovelovelove!

  • haah this is the song we r singing but i dont think this fast hahah i love their faces :)

  • I have a cd of them with this song on it. It's nice to see them perform this song on video. Excellent!!!

  • King Singers can do no wrong...Its a gossiping song...its amazing

  • These four singers are quite amazing!!

  • I have to sing this song in choir... ):

  • @doggydude10

good luck man! you need it. LOL

but yeah, if you manage to do it, i'd seriously applaud you. =]

  • @doggydude10 I do too :)

I like the song, but right now we're still singing it on solfege syllables haha. We just started working on the words. ^-^

  • @KakashiFreak100 Do you go to Cedar Ridge High?

  • @doggydude10 No ^^; I go to Williamstown High. Funny, though, how both of our choirs had the same idea haha :)

  • @KakashiFreak100 Yeah, that is pretty effing funny.

  • the king singer son buenisimos, esta obra es dificilisima, el frances se les va un poco en collera si,

  • geil

  • the bass looks like mr big from sex in the city.lollll

  • tanks wery gut

  • This video is a perfect example of why Youtube needs a replay button...

  • Is it a new mentality to sing faster and faster? For exemple another video of KS singing the same aria about 17 years ago was slower!

    Sad!

  • @mouthmouse it's not an aria - it's a madrigal.

  • @ChessiePieces Sorry I was mistaken, I thought that a madrigal was an aria! but it doesn't change anything from what I said before! Thanks for the information!

  • it's too fast ! the older group sang that slower

  • Dudes got lungs

  • at 00:49 when Stephen comes in, epic bass run,

    Thats why hes the best!

  • Love this tempo :D

  • stephen!!!!!!!!!!!! your the best bass

  • There is a posting by @kingsingers showing a very young David and Stephen singing this very song.. have a look they are so young... David has a very fetching RED tank-top on and Stephen a Tweed jacket? It looks like they are singing in a sports centre???... Aww bless 'em :0)x

  • awesome! we're trying to figure this out at our choir and its kind of hard!!

  • Goodness, this is superb! <3

  • Una excelente interpretación!

el contratenor soprano tiene una voz muy dulce.

  • i love that guy singing soprano!!!

    0:17 "he never beats me,"

  • at around 0:50 .... the bass and tenor... man, does that sound awesome.

  • I love this sooo much, it makes me smile :) haha I sing this in my choir at school, except its SSAA, I might just do a multitracking video of this!

  • @SugarbabyLA I've done one, it's really fun to do!

  • Ars nova shit, great interpretation, imitative counterpoint yeahhhh sounds very armonic polifony

  • this is lovely!

  • Hahaha :) Love it! I have a test tomorrow with this song involved, and I just can't get it out of my head! I hope I'll manage to spell it right... :D

  • love it!

  • just because you sang it at a certain tempo, it doesn't mean it's the right one. everyone has his or her own taste.

  • Agree with aukmandude, but there is a tempo marking written by the composer eventho its not a fixed tempo. If its marked vivace you cant just sing it andante.

  • @aukmandude

I'm giving this a thumbs up because you said "his or her" instead of "their"

  • @aukmandude I'm sorry but it's impossible to understand the lyrics! I'm french, I knew this song before, and except il est bon commere mon mari it's impossible to understand the rest! And a song you can't understand lyrics is not very pleasant to listen to!

  • @aukmandude si chiama virtuosismo e fa parte della BRAVURA

  • @aukmandude I agree. As singers, we have the freedom to interpret the song as we want. That means that a slow interpretation of this song would be just as good as a fast paced interpretation of the song like this one, the different tempos need different skills in order to sing it well. That is one of the reasons why I love to sing because a song can be interpreted in a million different ways, and every single one of those interpretations can be correct.

  • .....newb

  • @JessieMarie923

It's actually marked to be really fast, and it's in cut time.

  • i've just decided what i want for christmas. the dvd.

  • me too!

  • At that tempo to perform this song so well proves why they are so world renowned today. Congrats King's Singers for showing the world how to perform this w/perfection.

  • good nicer than what we sang today.

  • 0:56 does the guy on the far right say punani??

  • Dah niknak

  • it looks like he did, but I can't really tell...who cares anyways, it's the freeking Kings' Singers!!! :)

  • I think it's "poulets," or chicken.

  • Nope, he says 'poulaie'... which actually means 'chicken' so pisoprano is right :D

This is amazing! I sang this song in my choir, too, maybe two years ago from now. The alto part at 1:06 is so difficult, and he does it so well! Oh, I am sooo jealous. ^^

  • no he says pou lailles.

  • @OllyMillMill

it might even be 'poulailler" which is the place where all the hens are. or "poulaille" generic term for chicken.

  • @SillyComments

    In my music, it's "poulailles"

  • Tres bien....j'adore cette chanson
