  • Needs moar Steven K. Hayes.

  • say this negative shit to their faces brave ol keybord warrior.

  • I've studied this system and anyone who feels that the techniques don't work, go and find an instructor, a "credible" one, and aks him/her to demonstrate. Everyone complains about how slow, or failing on purpose. Understand, if the attackers come at full speed, THEY WILL GET INJURED!!! In this system, the attacker does all of the work, and the harder they come, the more danger they put themselves in.

  • This is a demonstration, and no one wants anyone getting hurt. I've been the Uke for my teacher when someone asked the "What if" questions, and Ive gone full speed and power on them to show that it works. Im a good uke and know how to fall and go with the flow, most people on the street do not. Don't criticize what you don't know.

  • To quote Bruce Lee, "...too many fixed positions." The demonstrations relied too heavily upon the opponent reacting in the "perfect way' for the next move. I don't find this realistic. And when will you ever find yourself facing a sword? Sure, according to the To Shin Do coach I worked with, the movements are the same, but still, for real, when will you ever encounter "on the streets" a situation, with the target reacting in the same motions, above, while you or he is using a sword, like this?,

  • @OffRobert Plus, there were too many pauses.

  • Having had the opportunity to receive in-person training from Mr. Isler, I can tell you that his techniques are authentic and effective. There are parts that are done at slow speeds for demonstration but, yes he can at full speed. Also, he does do something about the sword. He moves out of its way. The attackers don't intentionally win. They attack with a predetermined technique with the intention of hitting their target. The trick is not to respond to the defense like you know what's coming.

  • lame..... lame..... lame......

  • It doesn't look "realistic" but part of that is that a dude with two daggers just got jumped by two guys with swords. That doesn't happen anymore. Also, the attackers purposely fail, but it's just to show how the technique could work. In truth, yeah, the sword guys are gonna win almost every time, but this is about how a guy with daggers could potentially win, even if it's a longshot.

  • First mistake was not running. Second mistake was drawing his blade. It;'s like saying "hey guys, this is what I have so you know what to do next"

  • just wonder if he could really do it if the sword strikes witht he full speed

  • @jimanHK I'm sure he can, but in order for people to see how he does the technique he has to go a bit slower.

"I'm sure he can, but in order for people to see how he does the technique he has to go a bit slower."

    this is an assertion.

    you have absolutely no idea...

worth noting however, there is absolutely no relevance... since we can clearly see that he does absolutely nothing about the sword...

this 'technique' is bogus, his head would be in 2 pieces....
