  • It's Bypass not Bypaaaas! :D

  • STOP TALKING ALREADY

  • so awesome

  • and if there is an un-wahed solo but need that treble suck of the non true bypass wah for a little thicker sound you can turn the wah off and put your foot on so could get a treble cut =D

  • What a load of crap. This is not rock 'n roll

  • It's only matter of time before the Wah makers incorporate this feature or someone mods wahs to do this.

  • Or you could try just about any Morley Power Wah.

  • Or you could try an Onerr Fat Boy 2 switchless wah pedal.

  • can you hook this up to a pedal board?

  • This proves there is a God

  • how come this is not on amazon.com?

  • great peice of gear. 2 questions 1. how much was this wah pad? 2. would a pedal tuner go before or after your wah?

  • @luvz2sploogeify I don't know the price,..

But you should put the tuner before so the wah

won't effect the tone when tuning....

  • Justin you are such a great guy, just bought one of those ibanez wh10v2 the bypass on those things are absolutely terrible! you have sold this to me! cheers!

  • The funny thing to me is that my Morley wah does the same thing. BUT, is is what they call True Tone Bypass. What it does is it maintains your tone but it pushes it through your other pedals or cable.

  • BRILLIANT pedal!!!!!!!!! Why didnt I think of that......

  • ... a great invention!

  • @jcoldham1 listen to what he says

  • one of the best ideas to come down the pike in along time..great idea...no more wah clicks between rhythm and leads ...great for playing songs like for example ...the Telephone Song...by SRV and His brother Jimmy on Family Style C.D.

  • this guy talks for over 7mins b4 even turning it on so dont bother wathin it's shit

  • bad ass!

  • Just look at the favorites on my channell and there is a way cheaper way to make your wah true bypass. its what im doing to mine.

  • Great review. Slightly random question:

What genre would you say you are playing from around 7:30 and can you give me an example of a few similar songs? I love the sound, but I've never been good at finding it

  • Sounds pretty Slash-esque if you ask me.

  • a little I guess

  • 7:30 - 7:40 its sounds to me like hendrix style

  • it is sofucking good!!!!!

  • technically you could use that with any type of pedal with the pad

  • meu o cara fala a metade do video, vai se danar kkkkkk

  • 7:59 ... the sounds like Zakk Wylde :'D

    good job guys from poland!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Where did you get that at?

  • blackhawkmusic

    look it up on google

  • Damn that pressure thing is such a brilliant idea! I gotta get me this thing real soon as it enables you to concentrate more on your music and less on your toys

  • only satriani i think

  • the tone is maore slash, but the speed is Satriani

  • btw guys, if I plug in my electro-acoustic guitar into such a thing could it give me nice, smooth sounding effect?

  • i dont use generators for my pedal board. i use two power strips xD

  • wow, have to they that is a sweet sounding wah! beautiful tone!!

this is a great little gadget, saves modding for true bypass and gives the cool momentary feature, so getting one of these!!

They Should so make one for the whammy pedal too!! momentary whammy sounds are very cool

  • i think it works on any kind of pedal but was designed with the wah pedal in mind,so id say the whammy would work!worth a try, would sound deadly!

  • Hi there , great tone , can you please tell me what are you using for overdrive / distortion ?. thanks for your time .

  • you really need to make some lessons on how to use and play with wah because i have this wah pedal and I don't know when to use it...all i do with it is play the beginning of voodoo child...

  • anathemase axriste

  • i have a cheap wah pedal and you have to turn it on by hand so if i had this i would not be lazy i would just be saving myself the embaressment of having to stop playing voodoo chile in the middle of a gig and turning off the wah by hand.

  • my wah is kinda hard to turn on so it messes me up when im playin because i have to press down so hard to turn it on, its not because people are lazy, it just doesnt mess up your flow.

  • It's not about being lazy, don't make a fool of yourself. This pad is to help with several things. You can start in a low position instead of always it being high for one. Also the switch can be really hard to get on, even more so if you're sitting down or you're a small person. Also, true bypass is needed for older Wahs. So before you go around making stupid comments, take some time to really check a product out, instead of thinking it's because someone is lazy.

  • this makes a big difference one if you have an old wah that doesn't have true bypass

2ndly instead of buying a new damn wah you can get this gizmo thing that would a lot cheaper than a new wah

  • can u use wah pedal on a amp wich got effects in it?

  • yes

  • hmmm, I would use it, except I have a 105Q bass wah and it automatically turns on when I want it to without the switch. The true bypass doesn't bother me much. the EQ on my ashdown bass amp restoresmy tone nicely

  • Seems like a cool idea, but I've already got a bad horsie which does the same thing lol

  • That's a great thing, ive just ordered mine :)

I'm tired of pressing that damn switch all the time

  • That kinda quick solo playing - from about 7:30 to 7:40(and/or the scales you would use) would be a coool lesson...pls pls pls...:D

  • That's a nice add on, schweeet!

  • I couldn't hear the difference, if any, made by the bypass(Eric Johnson I ain't!): but that's not why I bought it. I got mine because the Vox is my favourite sounding wah. But playing live you don't always get to hear your sound as well as you'd like. And as there is no "on" LED on a Vox, I found myself getting paranoid as to whether my wah was left on. It's been a little surprising just how liberating use of the pad has been - not having to stamp the wah on and off any more.

  • yours isnt keeley modified

  • I got mine a couple of weeks ago from Charlie Chandlers (link in "more info" box, up and to the right - sic!) And it works a treat with my Vox wah.

  • wer can i purchase a poland made pedal?

  • This product is Polish and in Poland costs 250 PLN, that is about 70 USD.

  • winoguitaro!!! i dont know how to use a wah wah! sir ive been playing and since 1 was 7.I have been teaching since i was 23. iam now 39. iam not the best teacher or guitarist in the world but i DO know a broken unit when i hear one! please grant me more sense than you have to date

  • awesome procuct

  • how much might this pedal cost??

  • read the description

  • Im thinking about sending my Wah to Keeley. Does anybody have experience with this?

  • sorry to be negative but iam so far on my second one of these, the first one didnt work at all and the new one ive waited 2weeks for has a real anoying screech sound when i engage it!! ive now gota wait another week till chandelers get a new one!! the battery access is fiddly and ive no lost all faith in the product, if the next one doesnt work i am afraid ill have to get my money back.I realise i might have just been unlucky, but i just wanted to air my opinion. 0 outa 10 sorry

  • It's not because it doesn't work - you just don't know how to use it :P I had exactly the same problems but then I learnt how to use my wah-wah pedal and haven't had any problems since.

  • Thanks for these reviews there a great insight 5/5

  • would this work for a digitech expression factory

  • justin did you get this at chandlers guitar experience???

  • Man, where can I buy one of these?

  • Sorry, nevermind, for some reason I didn't see the link in the video description.

  • awesome vid :) :)

  • any limits as to which wahs it works with?

  • Size, actually. Every standard-sized wahs will work perfectly, but some Morley-type effects... hardly, I think.

  • nice solo mein

  • This is pretty awesome, but what if you want to just leave the wah in one position to alter tone? Seems like you'd have to keep your foot on the pedal for as long as you were playing.

  • It's enough when you "touch" the corner of the G-Lab - without standing on the wah. HTH!

  • HOLY COW this is great!

    Thnks 4 the VID!

  • HOLY COW!

  • What you do is a great service to us out here in the ether. Thanks brother.

    dd

  • and how much is this thing??

lol i hope its not too much

  • Awesome! thanx

  • Can someone explain to me what Wah is please?

  • are u new to guitar?? wah is the sound produced with the pedal

  • He was answering you, get down from your high throne.

A wahwah pedal changes the EQ of your signal by boosting either your top or bottom frequency. Then making the "wah" sound.

  • Hey, yeah sorry about that. I thought that he was just saying, "Are you new to guitar???" saying that I was a noob or something. Sorry for the confusions.

  • but you are

  • Are what?

  • Holy crap calm down..now why did you have to turn this into a situation? All I asked was for someone nice unlike you to explain to me what it was, which was JeffAndy, because I get mixed up with other pedals. Get a life instead of making situations out of something that wasn't big.

  • get real dude

  • Hey i been meaning to ask uhh does this work with any wah pedal?????????

  • yes. but it also works with ANY effect's pedal ;D

  • ...if it fits on the pad...

  • So what does this magical invention have up its sleeve for the times you want to leave your wah cocked? It's no good if it just switches off when you let your foot off...

  • yea exactly what i was thinking, wat if you want to keep the wah on to get that nice tone? does it allow for the the wah to stay on without the foot on it?

  • just leave your foot on it in the cocke dposition

  • please keep it civil - too much abusing one another over stupid stuff - c'mon - just be cool. Please!!!! Cut out the swearing all the time. I swear too - but crickey... it's getting a bit over the top... so please calm it down! J

  • huge like pig

  • rafsenk. He he he no Im not, and its not I ment.Ive been playing with effects for many years, and my opinion is that "true bypass" isnt doing the job. I said that, and some asshole/lowlife with a BAD language comment very rude on it. Isnt this site about praise and critic, if we want to move on ?

  • or you could get a bad horsie wah and have the same thing without getting the pad...

  • if u want ur same wah sound with a vox and not that wah, then this would be a nifty invention, ever thought about what sound he likes? if he wanted a bad horsie he would have gotten a bad horsie, but he got a vox wah cus he want's a vox, so shut up dumbass.

  • This allows you to make any wah switchless, though, so you an choose the voicing. I personally wouldn't buy either - I like having a toeswitch, and I love my RMC wah anyway.

  • WOW, Fab explanation and great playing! this looks like a truly great gadget - Now to go and find out how much it costs...!

  • awesome,nice

  • how much is E99 i dunno what e is im in the us

  • i really didnt know you were that sick!! on the guitar till i herd you play

    in this vedio......!!!!!!! !

  • Nice Badger.

  • i use a vox wah too!

    Rock on \m/

  • so do i but his looks moded

  • hahahhaha nice ending lol!

  • at 7:40 its sounds exactly like seinfeild

  • holy hell..... I wanna study from you! how much is it???

  • 8:25

  • truly amazing

  • thanksss

  • hey Justin, I`ve been playin guitar since 1981 I have a serious problem synchronising between my right hand and left hand. I miss strings with the pick. and when i get into a scale i hit brick wall. Any suggestions; Thanks; Fred

  • You need to slow down dude. Slow down to where you can really control what you're doing and practice at that speed until you play whatever you're trying to play right every time then start gradually speeding up. Metronomes really help with this.

  • that' sick!!!!

  • i want that thing

  • this is nice , u rock

  • thanks man without your review we would never find this , this is a really cool mod actually for the wah!!

  • it sounds great, but it looks a bit flimsy maybe, i might be wrong but can it take a bit of stick

  • i have on there nice

  • i cant wait to get my digitech rp90

  • whatever you were playing around the 8 minute mark sounded so awesome!

  • Justin rules!!!

  • Nice device man!

  • Justin,

How do you like your Suhr Badger? I'm wanting to get one of these. I haven't been able to talk to anybody that actually has one.

    Thanks,

    Todd

  • nice find thank justin.

  • so why not buy a good wah that has true bypass, like one the fulltone clyde!?

  • Some people may have vintage pedals that they don't want to mod with true bypass.

Others may have nice sounding modern wahs that aren't true bypass but don't wish to modify them.

Plus, the pressure sensitive plate (auto-on) is a feature not present on most other Wahs (Steve Vai models aside), nor a practical mod.

That last feature alone, to me, is worth purchasing even for Wahs with true-bypass. :)

  • Gröt e gott

  • inte havregryn (:

  • inte havregryn (:

  • Peace from polish fans! :D we love you Justin !

  • great playing at the end

  • i was wondering if a gadget like that exists or not before... interesting !

  • justine i think it would be benificial for the newbies like me if you could post how to use guitar effects, and so we can choose which one to buy.

  • justine, can you include the prices of each pedal you reviewed and how/where can we purchase one? what if we are in europe or asia? Can we order from your store if you have? Are we guaranteed of the best service possible?

  • Why don't u just google it yourself?!

  • its for fingerpicking smart ass...

  • Awzome ped!!!

  • i suppose the only problem is that if you want to play with wah turned on in one postition (for rhythm playing or soloing tones) you're kinda rooted to the spot. But all in all it looks pretty good

  • agreed, I like to keep my wah one position sometimes to give it a muffled sound for a little while when i solo

  • maybe if they added an on-off switch to one side of it (to turn the pedal on or off manually) as well as having the pressure sensitive business going on, that would probably fix that...

  • dat was brill

    fine piece of kit!

  • where can i buy one, i cant find it anywhere

  • cant post links but try w w w .guitar-experience . com its £99 ( dont know what country your in?)

  • god bless the person who invented effect pedals

  • COOL! Big thanks to Justin for the demo...very helpful!

  • this is pretty cool

id buy it but its about 170 USD maybe ill save up for it

    great work!

  • You have to be good a standing on one leg...

  • ..oh wai ti see...the plate must detect the weight...duh...stupid me

  • hmm i dont know if it just wen over my head, but i dont see how that thing recognises when you put your foot on the wah in order to activate it??

  • The pad is pressure sensittive. Detects when your foot touches the pedal. Automatically turns on when it feels the pressure, turns off when it goes away.

  • presure sensor....sensitive moving parts.....

  • Awesome device. I think i'll get that at some point.

  • my morley bad horsie wah does the switching without the "click" as well

  • how much?

  • maybe i missed it, but how much did that cost you justin?

  • 99 UK, 175 US

  • hmm pretty ingenious device, sometimes though i like to have my wah on and kinda use it as a tone control though and just leave it in a position.

  • THAT'S AWESOME!!!

  • I did enjoy the demo :D

I like it as sometimes you do not want to start your wah with treble sound, which under normal situations you have to ;)

  • haha ill still take my crybaby over this. i dont mind the clicker on/off

  • what are you talking about, its something to enhance the flow of wah usuage, the wah pedals are interchangable.

  • i dont care, this might ENHANCE the sound of my crybaby, but i dont want it that way. have your expensive crap if u want it, i just dont.

  • you can also just get the steve vai morley wah pedal, it has the automatic on and off

  • THAT IS FUCKING AWESOME

  • dude thats awesome

  • Hey Justin, is that a Suhr Badger 18? If it is, then your really lucky...

  • damn how much is this thing?

  • I am not finding where to purchase this or even what the price is .
