I will forever love this album. I was at a house I was staying at with a bunch of friends, basically a messy loud party house. The party started to die down and this kid came in raving about this CD and how it "changed his life", and he put it in our boombox and put it on continuous repeat. I laid on this dirty fold out couch and just stared at the ceiling and listened. The album must've played at least six times and everybody had gone home but I remained just lying there and listening

Caribou's latest album doesn't compare to his previous albums. I love this stuff. If you have not heard the song "I've Lived on a Dirt Road All My Life" off of Up in Flames you're missing out. It's vintage Caribou back when he was called Manitoba before he was sued for the namesake.

I'm not going to evaluate whether i will remember the song in years to come. I am just saying that i like to listen to good music whether the band has history or a specific reason about them. @jk0745 Yes I like a lot of music myself and listen to music regularly from modern to the early 1900's. I mentioned Pepe Deluxe as ONE example of something similiar to this track but better. I've had a good listen to the Caribou album and its grown on me a little more but its not as good as the hype suggests. Thats the reason I made the initial comment because of the fact that everyone is hyping this up way beyond what it really deserves. Like I said, its not bad but nothing earth shattering.

I love this song. The psychedelic flute breaks, blend in with the whispy, washy, acid induced swirl of the rest of the song, and the video is a perfect match with its surreal images. Quite an achievement.
