This is YOUtube, the place where we can post OUR videos. To people who want greedy corporations expelled indefinitely from youtube - thumbs up and copy this into Vevo videos.
I wish the HEART OF ROCK AND ROLL would make an 80'S STYLE COMEBACK and put an end to this JUSTINE Bieber and Rap phase! The 80's remain the LAST GREAT ERA of music! Very little of today's stuff compares, and those that do have copied the 80's sound!
@mugzsta1 Exactly. On another note, this video would have been a little better and 80's-like if Huey would have been hit by the taxi and just got up like it was no big deal. Otherwise, it's good stuff.
Seriously..stop ruining our good music with your Justin Bieber comments on every video. If we wanted to hear some shit about Justin Bieber we'd be watching HIS videos.
I remember my dad blaring this song in his convertible tracker with the top down in downtown dayton in the mid 90's when I was about 14 andeveryone kept staring at us I was embarrassed. but I still love this song
Nice vintage clips of Elvis, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, and Bill Haley. Huey and his band drew a lot from the 50s rockers, but added some more modern elements. I think that is what the fade from B&W to color is showing.
@el6caballo6oscuro6 heard it for the first time today?! where u been the last twenty somthin fuckin years god dam people open your minds and explore more music

Huey and the News hit #6 in Billboard, 6-9-84. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Anybody remember WLS' custom version, where Huey yells out, 'Chicago! Kansas City!'?
This is the song that got me into rock and roll, back when I was five years old. Even now, more than two decades later, I can still remember jamming out to it in my room, or on family trips while we were on the road. Long live 80's rock!
Although I wasn't born in the '80s, rather the '90s, I grew up listening to this music and other '80s bands. Some of my friends don't even know who Huey Lewis, and I'm just like "what is wrong with us teens of the world?" I love Huey Lewis!
@gleeluvor272 I am also a product of the nineties, but nevertheless I can't resist the sounds of the Big 80s. I appreciate that there are people my age that actually have good taste in entertaiment. The only problem is you never know of their existance because they're spaced really far apart!
"where else can you do a half a million things all at a quarter to three?". Is huey talking about 2:45 am here? He must be since this video is taking place at night.
@MikeHarmerTV lmfao so did I. I would always call this the "buh-boo" song because of the heartbeat. But imagine waking up in the middle of the night and hearing the heartbeat out of nowhere. =P
I think they tried too hard to be like Chuck berry and Martha Reeves And The Vandellas in this tune; Don't get me wrong, I still like Huey lewis and The News, they're OK.
Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
It`s SAD that the new artists don`t make this kind of music anymore. They making SHIT pop and Techno. That day I hear music from a new band like this I`m gonna be real happy.
