I have the 20th Anniversary edition - it cost over £100 brand new and it really seems to be the real thing: a durable, usable and dangerous field knife. Great!
God help anyone who tries to break into my place - it will come out the other side!
There are 3 versions of this knife the biggest being The Rambo incarnation the 2nd being the Gil Hibben III knife then finally and my favorite the gil hibben fighter knife
cool.of rambo knives i only like 3 and 4(4 better) i don't like any blade to have hole in it,or bloodgroove hole whatever(or hollow handle).sly probably got his inspiration for rambo when he watched 1966 movie "the naked prey" starring cornel wilde(filmed in africa) who plays more of a survivalist/warrior.he uses a machette'...same same.
hmmm this is not same knife as in film, first hand guard was straight not angled, and blood chanel was in three parts not one long one, pretty close though,
Sometimes ya just gotta buy it, if for no other reason than to just sit and look at it and hold it. If you're into knives, like me, whether it serves a purpose or not, it just has to be in your collection. It's kinda like owning a Harley, "if I have to explain it, you still wouldn't understand"..... Congrats on this beauty sir, it's pure awesome!
Cool but serves no purpose and makes you look like a dumbass if people see this. so basically you bought something inpractical and stupid its a MOVIE PROP!
@SuperMcMuffin100 Not so. It's made and sold as a collectible, not for use. Anyone buying these knives to use is a moron. They come with certificates of authenticity and are numbered. I'm a fan of all of the Rambo movies and bought all the knives minus the last one. They will be worth much more in the future. I HATE seeing vids of ppl testing their Rambo knives for sharpness or durability. These are historic replicas only. Stop judging them on current standards.
Gee...! I cant see much use for a large knife like that one other than just as a piece of a collection! I´d rather have a machete cause it wouldnt destroy my arms after chopping with it for a few hours! Some guys refer to their blades as if they were talking about the size of their dicks! The bigger the knife the tougher man you are!! Cmon!!
@giutoniolo i get what your saying, but i would like a knife that best described the size my penis as accurate as possible. So i decided to get a broad sword.
I bought this knife around 1989 and still use it to this day. I've been hard on it but it's never really failed. The pommel needs to slightly tightened with some thread lock on the threads to keep it from coming loose during use. The handles also split out on me once but I repaired them and they are still on the knife. I have chopped, hammered and split wood with this thing and it's never chipped. It didn;t come with a very sharp edge so I did the edge myself.
i like the knife in first blood prat 1 and 2 best...many people say: the knife in first blood part 2 real sucks...! :( i wil like to buy a rambo knife: first blood part 2..is that stupid?
i hate to ruin it for you guys but this knife is crap compared to united cutlery's rambo III knife. although master has the rights to use the rambo name, they are making these knives without the approval of the designer, gil hibben, and he gets no credit from these people for his design. united is the only brand that makes authorized reproductions of the knife that gil hibben designed. if you cant find one that has the rambo name on it,get one that says hibben III on it. it is the same design.
This one, despite the 'combat design' is by far the best of the series of Rambo knives. It may not be as "cool" as the RFB I or II, but when Gil desined it, he did so with the intention of practicality. Believe it or not, this knife CAN be used. You can pound it, pull it, push it, cleave with it, etc. I bought two of them just to see what one can do while in actual use. Not bad; not bad at all. It stays sharp too. The 440 steel doesn't allow for much flex though, so don't over toque it!

@johnywinslow Tool? For what? 30 seconds in to what ever you could possibly use this for and you'd be so fatigued it wouldn't be funny...

You're right its the same Designe but not the same weight and size.

Looks cool but way too heavy to even consider carrying. Imagine humping that thing 10 or 15 miles?
That said, it is freaking wicked :D
RabidSpatulaPaul 2 years ago
But rambo only carries a knife and a bow and arrow, so it would be pretty light.
