I still think シ and　ツ and　ソ　and ン are each way too similar. Sure, we have I and l or b, d, and p in the roman alphabet, but it's not as bad in my opinion. But, it's not like we can change a language. Anyway, I'm working on learning kanji at the moment, so katakana seems easy in comparison.

Ｓpeaking of katakana and gairaigo, what drives me nuts is when I am speaking with a native speaker and he or she says some word that I can't catch and I think "oh shit, he just used a Japanese word I haven't yet learned". But it turns out to be an English word said with Japan'ized pronunciation. Japanese seem not to understand why we have so much trouble with those.

I am checking it out now. Also if you google "katakana games" there is a cool flashcard game. It can increase your speed at Katakana.

Did you get it to work? You have to install the Japanese-English dictionary at the minimum. The Names dictionary is also very useful and recommended, cause names of people and places have some of the hardest kanji and are a bitch for us gaijin. By the way, when the cursor is on a word, hit the Shift key to toggle between word, kanji, and name dictionaries.

Oh yeah, dont forget to install the dictionaries on the Rikaichan page. Also, you need to restart Firefox after installing the plugin, and when you go the Japanese website, you need to right-click anywhere on the page and choose "Rikaichan" from the menu that comes up, which activates it. Then put your cursor over any Japanese word (kanji, hiragana, katakana, doesn't matter) and prepare to cum in your pants unless you are a hot chick, in which case prepare to suck my dick

Nice katakana lesson. Btw, for all u students of Japanese there is a plug-in for Firefox you MUST get because it will CHANGE your fuckin life. After you see this shit, youll probably want to suck my dick but you cant unless youre a hot chick. Anyway, heres what to do. 1st step: Start Firefox (if you dont have it, download it cause it kicks IEs ass), 2nd step: Google Rikaichan (name of the plug-in), 3rd step: Go to the site & install it. 4th step: go to any Japanese website and be amazed.
