  • @canucksftw7

    congrats

  • youtube.com/watch?v=NNSSpXapks0&feature=related heres for all the haters

  • @justin9211

tried it, but link isn't correct apparently.

  • love these guys; they do have lots a talent; these doods know music better that you think its all part of being talented

  • I've seen Dread live about 6 times and every show has rocked. Tortelvis's voice is awesome, don't try to say it isn't. The reggae vibe totally works. The band members are sufficiently wackadoo and I love them all. A Dread show is an extravaganza, folks, not a parody or a even just a tribute, it's an extravaganza!

  • ahh youtube comments, making my eyes bleed daily...

  • 27 people are tone deaf

  • 26 people cant afford a stairway to heaven......TCB ..Baby ...TCB

  • They play Bob Marley also. Stir it up on 5,000,000. I love "Big Ol' Gold Belt" also. Great band.

  • bonzo is up there with a massive smile on his face

  • Caras tão talentosos deveriam investir em um som proprio, sem ter q ficar copiando trabalhos de outros artistas.

  • mofo's rock! lol!

  • lmao!

  • Best versions;

    1. This one

    2. Far Corporation

    3. Zappa

  • @MickeyLove01 Heart vies for the top cover, too.

  • @v0n1b0 really? I'll have a listen..

  • @MickeyLove01 Heart version that runs 8:29 seems to be the best. Battle of Evermore is well covered, too.

  • @v0n1b0

Heart is the only band I can stand covering Zep, they are big fans and do a great job, and Ann Wilson is the best female rock vocalist to this day.

I don't look at this as a "cover", it's its own thing.

  • i cant say this is better than the original, but it's so fuckin good! nice work guys...

  • man dread zeppelin rules

  • I saw these guys @ST ANDREWS IN Detroit in 1992, never heard of them before. Went there tripping on shrooms, and as soon as the singer came out and started singing we took the rest of the shrooms and still the best night on my life @ a concert.

  • @vivachobe666

    lol.

  • This is like Hayseed Dixie, a bluegrass group that does AC/DC songs, and they have a KISS tribute too. It is not making fun of it, but having fun. Many reggae songs are covers.

  • oh, that was a surprise!!! a nice one too... ^_^

  • They rock :)

  • When I first heard of Dread Zeppelin, I thought it must be some joke, but this is pretty damn good.

  • I met these guys in Vegas at a Wayne Newton show. They were sitting front row in costume freaking out civilians. Have pix somewhere. Very friendly guys. Newton fell on the way to the show and hurt his knee. Show canceled, the elk lodger audience went mad. Went to the Dread show later that night downtown. Great show.

  • i love Zeppelin and Stairway is the best song ever in my opinion and i love this!!! haha

  • epic stuff. Still gonna go with the original tho

  • Five million Tortelvis fans can't be wrong...

  • Frank zappas version-also reggae-is a hoot

  • 18 Justin Beiber fans out there disliking I see...

  • I grew up listining to ALOT of music. My parents listened to led zappelin, elvis and reggae (among other bands and genres) so when they heard of dread zeppelin, they flipped for it. Dread zeppelin was an IS a big favorite in my family.

  • Laughing out loud.

  • Man they rock!

  • It has been my life goal to find a rock/reggae/Elvis cover band that exclusively plays Led Zepplin songs. I can die a happy man now.

  • @Lazurath101 wow...that's specific..lol grats

  • @Lazurath101 No fucking kidding but they play Bob Marley tunes to!!! Amazing I know right.

  • @Lazurath101

    lol.

  • @Lazurath101 love it

  • @Lazurath101 This is of course the greatest definition of Originality I point at anyone xD

  • This is great.

  • wtf?

  • i will never be able to listen to led zeppelin again without thinking of dread zeppelin. so funny yet clever

  • this is just wonderfull

  • Dread Zeppelin is the greatest band since Dread Zeppelin.

  • "2 meanings".. yo ho ho .. anybody remember laughter?

  • Awesome!

  • the best cover I ever heard

  • Maldita Blasfemia!!! ¬¬

  • @higuy6211 the original didnt die cause this came out lol, that kind of attitude kills new music, dont like it dont listen.

  • @higuy6211 Is a nice version of a great song... the greatest. They raggaed out the song in the better way they could do. Sure, the original is totally better but this is not crap.

  • @higuy6211 You need to be iniated to the might Dread Zeppeling, fannytastic.

  • This is the best cover that dread does.

  • This is great :D

  • Zeppelin were fans of Elvis and destroyed some of his songs. Payback. All hard rock bands are a little full of BS. Even the best of them.

  • When weirdness reach this level,it becomes genius!

  • to all you idiots who posted shit about dre zeppilin fuck off ,

robert plant just happens to like them so

shut your pie hole and move on dred zeppelin worship zeppelin only a true zeppelin fan would understand

  • I love Dread Zepplin!!! If you like this look up Easy All Stars (MONEY)

  • @Dartwith and time

  • its all good except for the reggae sh*t and the elvis impersenator

  • @spuzzum888 Go fuck yourself. Reggae is awesome!

  • @spuzzum888 are you like on crack buddie first you bitch at some one for

dissing reggae then you drop a bomb on it yourself you are either confused or just fucking stupid

  • fantastic boyssssss

  • This is so fucking huge...

  • I'm usually not into cover bands but this is such a unique twist on a rock epic that I can't resist.

  • I can't ever hear the first guitar riff without cracking up.

    Viva Dread!

  • Each band does it great for their way of playing. If Led Zeppelin went for reggae With Robert Plant imitating Elvis.. I don't think it would work... I mean it takes skill to make this work. Different Yes.. But Robert Plant doesn't like ANYONE using his songs, very rarely does he actually allow it.. Dread Zeppelin is actually one of the rare occasions he likes the cover.

  • @EvilLurker121

Yeah, I think it's because Dread does something actually creative with the songs. They don't just play them in another style with that's style's hooks. They've got their own distinct style that's pulled from several others, and fully reimagine the songs.

And it's done with talent. The songs are well arranged and played.

  • @EvilLurker121 he has a pet name for David Coverdale, he calls him David cover version although page hook up with Coverdale after zeppelin plant never liked him

like you said very rarely does he like people using his music

  • I like this as much as Dreads' version of "Kashmir" - it's addictive!

  • Fucking love this!

  • The Elvis Voice Needs To Shut The Hell Up. This Band Would Rock But They Screwed It Up With Elvis.

  • @ShaunTheWhite Hey. You know what....That "Elvis" is the whole god damn point to the band. So, ShaunTheIgnorant, STFU. KsoBAI

  • The lead guitar remembers me Guitar Pro with RSE.

  • ufffff excelent.

  • best cover version

  • I'm geeking out!!! This is great!

  • BETTER THAN ORIGINAL!

  • @mikegoodfss go fuck urself.

  • @Canawar3 k bro

  • i dunno i think it could do without the Elvis voice

  • They even did the solo some justice. Wooo!

  • @dkjr6 cuz it's an original way to pay tribute to zep? note for note carbon copy covers are boring.

  • @roddyjo which makes Rolf Harris's version of this better?

  • @tonlitt well if plant likes it, then i guess no one else's opinion matters.

  • @tonlitt well i meant dread's cover. i hafta check out rolf's cover. i bet it is interesting.

  • @roddyjo i was being facetious.. Rolf's version is sad to say the least... ;' )

  • @dkjr6

They aren't making fun of it, they play nothing but Zeppelin songs, they are fans.

  • Comment removed

  • @RockAndFunk Yeah in fact Plant is a huge fan, he LOVES Tort Elvis their lead singer

  • @RockAndFunk this is remastered to a level of pure medication

  • @RockAndFunk - actually they play Elvis covers too...!

  • @devilshaircut9

Yes I shouldn't have said they play nothing but Zeppelin, they play other things, but that's how they started. They love that Robert Plant approved. Robert has a very funny (and twisted) sense of humor.

  • @dkjr6 And Robert Plant of LZ loves them!

  • @dkjr6 they are'nt making fun of it idk if you are a muscician yourself because you don't seem know the point of music its supposed to be improvised changed up and flipped around to find new things, this is an example of mixing two genres of music and my opinion they are doing a great job, i love led zeppelin and i know that no one can do zeppelin better than zeppelin but this actually sounds good

  • @mrzeppelin4life i think exactly the same, they should think just like you do, they know that no one can do zeppelin better than zeppelin, thats why they make this reggae cover, because it's not zeppelin, its Dread zeppelin! they are not trying to copy the song, they are making a new version ^^

    cheers

  • @dkjr6 i agree with rockandfunk....... besides robert plant loves them he said that they are one of his favorite groups in an interview!!!!!!!!!

  • @dkjr6 lol fag

  • @dkjr6 jackass

  • this is all making perfect sense if you drop acid ecstasy and smoke the chronic coco-puff style.

  • been listening to Dread Zepplin for 10-15 years... gotta love the reggae rock

    420

  • I never thought Led Zepplin could be funny.

  • @AztekJose robert plant likes this

  • le dan sabroso estos chomps!!!!

  • Unbelievably awesome. Thanks

  • @mutexnet

    you're welcome :)

  • Even though this is a cover, they made it original! Nice job! I especially like a past comment stating that MOST songs shouldn't be covered unless done respectfully and tastefully. Dread Zeppelin certainly did a nice job with this song. And btw the vocals don't suck, their done in those characters voices that they portray! Never be afraid to step out of the box and do something new! ~ Peace

  • Cool

  • genial

  • Hahaha! Bob and Elvis smiling on a cloud.

  • sacrilege !

    cool but sacrilegious

  • Led Zeppelin + Elvis + Reggae = VXD

  • You kids need to not take yourselves so seriously. Zep was a one of a kind band. This is why they disbanded, and why their music is adaptable by a band like this. MOST songs shouldn't be covered. But, done tastefully different, it is an accomplishment. Your 40 y.o. classic's sanctity is not lost, just refreshed. The original even made the UK charts again in 2007 from ppl actually BUYING it online. At the end of the day you can always spin the original.

    Yo-Yo-Yippy-Ki-Yo. Funny Shit! Rock On!

  • i really like the reggae feel of stairway, but the vocals absolutely suck. I'd be happy if they made just an instrumental version of this, although it might get boring

  • nice! :D

  • @Hendrix1887 Even fucking Robert Plant is a fan of Dread Zeppelin so you go tell them that you think they're crap.

  • @theJPguy they didnt kill the solo so there still awsome!!!

  • It seems she already got the stair, and she's quite happy about it.

  • Just saw these dudes last night in KC. they put on a great live show! Lots of fun!!

  • me too

  • It's just so hilarious the fact there's a guy who sounds exactly like Elvis singing with a reggae cover of a Led Zeppelin song :)

  • @evalknival You have to be kidding, that is part of the genius...the Elvis singer - VIVA Tortelvis

  • @brianforder

Honestly I cannot believe that any Zep fan is unable to find the humor/genius in this, it's so creative and funny. CLEARLY they like Zeppelin A LOT, shit they named themselves DREAD ZEPPELIN, and play Zep songs. Elvis singing Zep is the best part. They don't take themselves too seriously, it's an act. And if you choose to appreciate their talent/musicianship, that's a bonus.

  • as we wind on down the road..shooo op..lol

  • AW these guys are SO COOL!

  • that's great this tribute of zeppelin it's very funny

  • Lol awesome video and amazing music ^_^!

  • @InvincibleGamer1

    Thanks :)

  • @RockAndFunk your welcome anytime :)

  • It's kind of like a Elvis and Mutabaruka duet here. Excellent.

  • WTF LOL ELVIS ISn't dead he just wanted to do what he always dreamed off

Joining a Reggae Band and singing the lyrics of the best band in the world !!!

i listened to this whole thing and i laughed but hey this guys are good !!!

  • it could be better with a reggae voice a good reggae voice

  • Lol it's scary, i seem to keep coming back to this version rather than lz version.

  • me too

  • When giants smoked the earth...

  • Amazing *__* :Q______

  • YOOOOOOOOOOOOO and she's buying a stairway to heaven..

  • dread zeppelin sucks! I love it!

    (Primus joke)

  • @ComputerHax1343 hahahahah ya thats a good one only true fans know

  • Awesome!

  • heii! polo femmos nostradome wertilizing köh

  • Sweet!

  • Funny - Good Funny!

  • Pelo menos o solo saiu daora!!!!^^

  • love it!

  • @stori11 its supposed to be that way, i think, but it sounds fascinating

  • they rules, a cover is not suppose to be a copy but their version of the song and they did a GREAT job !!!

  • You don't get it...

  • @Hornadayfan

    lol, so true.

  • that guy is Jamaican haha

  • these guys own, this should have so many more views than it goes, obviously cant beat the original but this is prob the best cover i ever heard of any song

  • @buzzmeister1983 COULDN'T AGREE MORE WITH YOU, BROTHER!!!

  • /Facepalm.

  • funny =D

  • its really different, not in a bad way

  • sweeeet reggae music!!!

  • O my bad it was Robert Plant. But im pretty sure Jimmy Page, John Jones and John Bonham gave them a good review!

  • So i hear Led Zep actually likes Dread Zeps stuff i saw a Interview here on youtube i think it was Jimmy Page telling everyone that Dread Zeppelin has got some pretty good and goofy cover's! Anyway after hearing alot of Dread Zeppelin's songs i have to say WOW! Dread and Led should do a concert together! I would pay big to watch and i bet many others would to! I love the Guitar solo he did a great job at covering that!

  • it would be a mess if they all played together though xD

these guys are brilliant, and they'd want to keep it reggae, otherwise they'd be playing the original along with Led.

this elvis guy has a great voice xD

    the bassist is a magician!

    5*

  • Man, pretty cool! Still like the std. version but this is sweet!

  • this is fuking bad man .... .....git on the congo natty mix

  • My guess is they borrowed a lot from the Frank Zappa version. Though Zappa's has more "bells and whistles" and gadget sounds....

I love Zep and I like dread zep. ~cg5

  • You take the rock out of led zep it dont work.

Elvis being the lead singer of Led zep would work.

It's like listening to a James Last album.

    The core has gone

  • they don't give a shit about the core !

    this is the cream ^^

  • When I was a kid in the early nineties, I thought this was great sheite (in a humorous way). I listen to it now and realise it is truly wonderful music. nodoubtaboutit.

  • Now as great as Zepplin is, I would bet it would be harder to do Sabbath songs(except maybe IRONMAN which is overdue and ripe for that).Yet I hope some genious tries!!! Also so many 60,70,80 songs begging to be done in a hard or heavy metal rock style! How about it?
